The well understood norm in the media is that people don't really want new information so much as they want confirmation of their own cherished views. Psychologists who study reactions to news find that information is processed by people with strong views in ways that reinforce their views. Those who work in the news-and-information media understand that point without the need for controlled experiments. Their base readership, viewership or listenership is generally confined to a like-minded audience. Liberals may tune in to Rush Limbaugh if they are committed political animals who want to know what to be outraged about from the other side, but for the most part Rush's audience ranges from conservative to antediluvian. So, too, Paul Krugman will be read by a smattering of folks from the right of center who are interested in seeing what a formerly thoughtful academic economist has to say, but mostly his readers are the hard-core socialist left to far left who appreciate his vitriol more than his analysis.
Most media carry just enough writing by columnists who don't fit their core demographic to give the appearance of balance. The Washington Post carries George Will and Charles Krauthammer, but everyone understands that the paper has a strong liberal bias and caters to an audience that wholeheartedly embraces the liberal credo. The New York Times carries David Brooks and William Kristol, but its opinion pages are far to the left of the Post and its current approach to a paper's central mission is closer to "all the news that fits our views" than the motto emblazoned on its masthead. A few media outlets, such as RealClearPolitics, actually take seriously the task of presenting all major viewpoints on important issues, but those are the exceptions.

Just hope that Rush / Chaos thang doesn’t come back to bite us in the butt !
It already has. Media has jumped the USS Obama. Everywhere they are now trying to portray Klinton as more electible and running stronger against McCain. They are factually right in that regard, but they weren’t doing that when they were behind Obama. Today there is special panic due to the rantings of Jeremiah Wright and they may calm down. However, tide has turned in favor of Hillary and the ones who did most to scare the liberals are Conservatives commetrators and analysts.
Eight more years of Klintons. I would LAUGH everytime when these same clowns cry about how evil and bad Klintons are and what they are doing to the office of Presidency and how Country is being sold out.
Not only that - the “True Conservatives” already have an Eascape Goat - John McCain.
They would blame his defeat and another 8 years of Klintons on him. Brag about their own importance.
They would conveniently forget that it was THEM who helped Hillary defeat Obama and handed over the keys of WH to her.
I will politely agree to disagree somewhat......As a true conservative ........:o)
I never voted for Hillary in our states primary. I knew that Mcpain could beat Obama in the general election and wanted Hillary out of the race in the Texas primary ASAP. I am NOT a fan of the operation chaos crap at all. I think it was a stupid idea that has placed our republic at extreme risk.
If Hillary gets the WH it is because of a weak GOP candidate vs anything real conservatives did IMO. There are dummies on all sides in this election. Rush did this for ratings as far as I am concerned. The infighting in the DNC that followed was just icing on a crap cake . When I vote for McPain this fall it will ONLY be because I NEVER want too see the Clintonistas in charge of anything ever again. Does that make sense......?
I am voting AGAINST the DNC trash ..... not for McPain. I think he is just as much a problem in more ways than one but he is the all American “lesser than” man this time.
Since I was old enough to vote I have voted GOP and will do so this time as the alternative is horrific for our nation.
Just my opinion of course.
Stay safe !
I couldn’t agree with you more, and Rush will be in heaven if the witch becomes President.
The argument that the blacks will leave the democrat party if they didn’t nominate Obama is strongly over stated, a few big payoffs to the black democratic elite (ie bribe)not to promote violence is all it would take,
where else can the blacks go? they put their eggs in one basket, and will eagerly return to the democrat plantation.
I said it would be nuts for any true conservative, or anyone with any common sense, to go to a presidential primary, openly declare to be a democrat and then proceed to vote for Hillary. The witch was dead going into Texas and Rush and his little minions gave her new life.
Agree....Good points !
and I agree with you Squantos, the thought of voting for McCain upsets me but I’m going to have to do it.
At least I can find solice in the fact that McCain served and was a POW, while at the same point in their lives the witch and the black marxist were in Ivy league law schools.
