Barack Obama sought to confront growing doubts about his electability yesterday by declaring that white, working-class voters would rally behind him if he became the Democratic presidential nominee.
Mr Obama appeared for a televised grilling to answer questions about his inability to attract blue-collar households in the heartland of America. It followed another damaging loss to Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania last week, which increased concerns among Democrats about whether he is the best candidate to take on the Republican John McCain in November.
Mr Obamas loss by almost ten points to Mrs Clinton in Pennsylvania, where she again won overwhelmingly among the white working class, bolstered the argument of the former First Lady that the Illinois senator cannot put together a broad enough Democratic coalition in key states to win a presidential election. He lost by the same margin in Ohio in March a critical election marker where blue-collar households turned their backs on him.

Well, with Kerry's support--- he's killing two birds with one stone...
If the speech from his former pastor and mentor at the NAACP tonight, whose words he won’t unequivocally disavow, doesn’t put paid to his candidacy, this country has lost it and is swirling the drain.
Obama can eat his waffles.
Hussein’s motto: “I can fool them all!”
When asked whether he is too elitist to appeal to blue-collar voters, Obama said, “No, I believe I really understand those people. So what if they go to church too often — did you know they wear shoes? Shoes! And I have even seen the men wearing ties! Ties! So there is reason to hope. Why, just last week I learned that most of those people can read and it’s not really their fault that they cling to their Bibles and haven’t read ‘Das Kapital.’ They just don’t know any better at their primitive stage of development. If only they would obey me I could fix what is wrong with them and make them evolve into something more human. Just the other day I told my San Francisco friends that those blue-collar people could be trained to give up their guns and study queer theory and liberation theology instead. If they can take apart a gun or a car engine they can be trained to deconstruct English literature, by Marx! No, I’m not elitist at all and I’ll see to it that the re-education camps cater to their special needs.”
One word - snort.
This guy is not only dangerous, but delusional as well. That is a very troublesome combination.
