Pentagon Cites Proof Of Iran's Growing Role

WASHINGTON - Iran is ratcheting up its support for militias in Iraq, providing them with newly manufactured weapons and bringing them across the border to receive training from members of Tehran's elite Republican Guard, U.S. military officials said Friday.

Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the military is preparing to roll out evidence, such as date stamps on newly found weapons caches, that shows that recently made Iranian weapons are flowing into Iraq at a steadily increasing rate.

Mullen would not detail the evidence, which is expected to be unveiled by military leaders in Iraq as early as next week. But another senior military official said it will include mortars, rockets, small arms, roadside bombs and armor-piercing explosives - known as explosively formed penetrators or EFPs - that troops have discovered in caches in recent months.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the evidence has not been made public, said some of the weapons had dates that came well after Tehran signaled late last year that it was scaling back aid to insurgents.

In addition, the evidence will include information gleaned from detainees who were reportedly trained by members of Iran's elite Quds Force, as well as insurgents who received instruction on how to do the actual training...

“And Bush is a friggen idiot.”

I disagree. He’s a tool. A marionette. A scumbag marionette, selling his country out.

I hope his betrayal of the American people (sitting with his thumb up his butt while Iran kills Americans, and trying to shove ShAmnesty down our throats) comes back to haunt his ass, personally.

After the Iranians were linked to the Beirut Marine barracks bombing Reagan ordered a strike on the Iranian Navy and took out half of it. You didn’t hear much about it at the time. Iran didn’t complain, probably because they wouldn’t want to admit they didn’t have a working navy. We have more than enough evidence of their meddling in Iraq as a reason to finish the job including the four Kilo class diesel subs they’ve since bought from Russia. They won’t complain this time either and won’t retaliate, not immediately and at least not in any kind of large way. Best thing Hillary has EVER done is tell them she would flatten the place——that’s fair warning. Curiously, Iran couldn’t even tell its own people it lost its navy, most likely, for fear of a really large Persian necktie party. I wrote Bush a letter suggesting July 4th. Next time we see three of our super carrier groups congregate in the Persian gulf standby for “ execute . “

Maybe this is a dumb question, but why hasn’t the military closed Iraq’s borders?

Perhaps for the same political reasons we did not bomb the bridges over the Yalu in 1950, nor bomb Haiphong into rubble in 1967. The politicians get squeamish at actually fighting all out while our troops pay with their lives.

“The plan was to insert Chalabi “

No, the plan was to create a democratic Iraq. And the plan was successful. This was announced publicly by Bush prior to the invasion and also within the congressional authorization.

“How many time did they (Administration) say “we are not here to “Nation Build”. “

When did Bush make this claim in regards to Iraq?

What if Bush’s remarks earlier this week to disperse the tax rebates checks early was a sign of a military action against Iran is coming. He did mention this money could be used to help pay for rising fuel cost. All the pundants, including me, thought that was odd for the President to release the tax rebate early to fight rising fuel prices. Maybe he knows once we start the bombing, we Americans are going to need all the money we can get to pay the 6 or 7 dollar a gallon it will be. I think I’ll use my tax rebate to buy a bike.

.....I think we will probably be at war with Iran within 6 months......

You are correct in my view.

I would add that we will be allied with a coalition of the threatened that includes all the Gulf States, Israel, Afghanistan and Iraq.

This is all all laying the political groundwork to a big operation in Sadr City. Several new battalions (both American and Iraqi) have moved into the area in recent weeks.

“Sorry man, you are dead wrong.”

My claim is supported within the congressional authorization: [to remove from power the current Iraqi regime and promote the emergence of a democratic government to replace that regime].

“The information is out there. Read it...”

No thanks. I’m not going to read your silly conspiracy books. Stop spamming me.

Unable to support your claim, you resort to personal attacks. Go back to the DU where you belong.

This not a problem for our media. Because for them onwe lie by the Iranians wipes out all provable facts by our government, that is until a RAT in Commander in Chief.
