Crime rate down.
Government expenditures down.
Hospitals emergency rooms costs down. And on and on.
OK must reverse the law immediately!!! It is not fair to the rest of the country. Now all the ILLEGALS will migrate to Chicago....AND WE DON’T WANT THEM EITHER!
The jobs that McCain said Americans would not do...
By that reasoning, then unimployment in Texas should be down. Can anyone confirm?
And if there are any good journalist left who get a chance to question our three wonderful presidential possibilities, they’d ask those three to comment on this development, and whether they consider it positive or negative.
“most illegals are doing unskilled work that can be done by anyone or even by machines.”
We have high school drop out rates approaching 50% in all too many areas. The US citizen population is not over-educated. There are plenty with few skills.
The unemployables in the ghetto know how to work the gravy train. I would assume that certain rural areas also have high drop out rates.
I knew people in the past who moved to Louisiana to take good paying, but lower skill offshore oil rig jobs (roustabouts). Not sure what the situation is lately.
LMAO, and who do you think would be taking those manual labor jobs if not illegals?
Strangely, Americans will do the jobs Americans won’t do after all.
Housing is not down near as much here as it is in most of the country, but it has slowed. Most builders would tell you it would have slowed anyway because the pool of workers has quickly dimished. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the new law and I realize others will eventually take up the slack. Most just don’t realize how & whom these type of changes effect. We need rational imigration policy, make that: we should have had rational imigration policy in place years ago.
In other news, Okla is about to pass English as the official language. On the down side our governor, a super delegate came out in support of Obama this week even though the dems in the state voted heavily for Hillary. We obviously still have a long way to go.
Crime rate down.
Government expenditures down.
Hospitals emergency rooms costs down. And on and on.
And add:
Traffic violations and traffic related fatalities down.
New cases of TB and leprosy down.
Academic performance up.
Indeed
I’ll admit that you got me on that one. A fairer claim would be that attributing lower unemployment to the immigration crackdown would be premature without also looking at the oil industry, labour laws (is OK a “right to work” state?), welfare policies, etc.
Yep, funny how anyone will do any job if it makes them better off than they were before.
Agreed. Thanks.
Xin loi din ki dau.
I was in Wichita on business and really enjoyed the city.
Lower taxes = higher revenues.
Less illegals = more jobs.
It ain't rocket science.
So who is filling the jobs the illegals used to have?
Isn’t anyone going to say it?
Bush’s fault.
