RUSH: Let's go to this ad, ladies and gentlemen, the North Carolina Republican Party TV ad. An unidentified female TV announcer you'll hear and then the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, and the North Carolina Republican Party chairman Linda Daves.
FEMALE ANNOUNCER: For 20 years, Barack Obama sat in his pew listening to his pastor.
WRIGHT: And then wants us to sing God Bless America? No, no, no! Not God Bless America. God (bleep) America.
FEMALE ANNOUNCER: Now, Bev Perdue and Richard Moore endorse Barack Obama. They should know better. He's just too extreme for North Carolina.
DAVES: The North Carolina Republican Party sponsored this ad opposing Bev Perdue and Richard Moore for North Carolina governor.
RUSH: That's Linda Daves. Now, is there any doubt what this is about? This ad is about many things, but one of the things that this is about, this ad is intended to help Hillary Clinton in the May 6th primary. This is a derivative of Operation Chaos. There's no question about it. But the news here that Senator McCain, from his high horse in Washington, called the North Carolna... Well, he didn't even see the ad. He issued a denouncement and asked them to stop airing the ad. He said, "The television advertisement you're planning to air degrades our civics and distracts..." It does no such thing! Everything in the ad is factual. McCain says, "It degrades our civics, detracts us from the very real differences we have with the Democrats. In the strongest terms, I implore you to not run this ad." The RNC got in on the gig, too, said, "Senator McCain's been very clear that he expects to run a respectful campaign based on the critical issues confronting the nation."

McCain is too weak to win. What a wimp.
Thank God for conservative voices like Rush — they will carry this campaign. The Repub Party is in very bad shape, as this country will be while it flounders in the damage and destruction of liberalism and socialism.
It sure is big of Rush to keep up the fight. I wouldn’t carry water for those RINOs anymore.
McCain is Bush III.
I find his passive support of McLame funny. Rush is busy attacking the Dems and encouraging infighting.
But then a Republican with balls says something and McCain jumps down their throat. Rush is all over McCain, and usually ends the segment with “We’re screwed.”
I totally agree. We. Are. Screwed.
I am fully convinced that they crossed party lines during the primaries. The Dems delivered the RINO that they thought they can beat. I was asked which ballot I wanted during the primaries in the state of MO.
McCain isn’t even “wishy-washy”
He’s just washed up!!!
Notice the new media meme is “McCain isn’t even enough of a leader to get his own party to pull the ad.”
McCain should have been darn sure the NC Pubbies would listen to him before he took ‘em on publicly. Now he looks impotent. Arrogance will bite ya every time.
I think I need to establish my own 527 group to put out ads. McLame is too lame to win.
McCain is fighting the war in the middle and letting the calvary on the flanks do all the heavy lifting.
“McCain should have been darn sure the NC Pubbies would listen to him before he took em on publicly. Now he looks impotent. Arrogance will bite ya every time.”
What he should have done was embrace the ad and let it speak for itself. Instead, he fell on his knees for the Democrats once again.
Listening to him know.
“We’re all Mavericks....”
Third party or stay home?
I think most people are missing the subtlety here. McCain gets to take the high road while at the same time the ad gets far more publicity than if it were being run in NC. It’s gotten tons of Youtube hits, Rush is publicizing it yet McCain’s hands seem clean. It’s a win-win and, I think, the intentional strategy here.
Right now Hillary seems to have more balls than Barack and McCain put together.
here in California, the term is W.A.S.S.
We are so skrewed.
