Could there be a calculated, cross-country plot to kill young college men, including some in Minnesota? It seems a little hard to believe, but two New York detectives say, they can prove it.

Ian Punnett is talking about this right now on Coast to Coast with Christie Peel (sp?) from some Minneapolis TV station.

Just heard it. It is very intriguing. The name of a strange sounding street in Dubuque was found written in MI and another body went into the river near the same street in Dubuque.

Pinging you Diana since you seemed interested in these cases from older threads.

Some people in La Crosse, Wisc., are convinced that there’s a serial killer who is throwing drunken young men into the Mississippi River on a regular basis.

My question is: How exactly do they "determine where the body went in the river?" You'll have to wait for the movie version.

Hey, Sinanju, Remember that asian INS agent who went missing from a DuPont Circle Starbucks around Feb. 2001 or 1999? I think her name was Chang. This was a few months or a year before Chandra Levy. Her body was found in one of the rivers and her wallet and other ID were found at the water's edge weeks before. I think there were witnesses to her abduction. And there was some sort of graphic or words about Chang, spraypainted on a wall near the point of abduction.
Her brother, Roger, was Dem official for being so young at the time.

BTTT for later read. Kristi Piehl was on Coast to Coast this morning. The most alarming part of the interview was the claim that the murder mo may well represent over 100 killings, but because of improper investigations the NY Detectives have only been able to tie in 40 directly.

It's been over a decade...
but I remember hearing a radio interview with some profiler (FBI?) that
mentioned that Washington, D.C. was a perfect environment for a serial
killer.
IIRC, he premised this on the high "turnover" of government workers,
military personnel and other "camp followers" of the rich-and-powerful
that flows into and out of D.C. on a fairly high rate.
It was interesting that when the Chandra Levy (Gary Condit) case
was active that the river search for Ms. Levy yielded another body.

ROFLMAO...
Sadly, I think you're serious.
There are probably few groups of kids who are more different in EVERY way than "Goths" and kids that play "Dungeon and Dragon-like" games.

There were also the Hillside Stranglers, the Manson family, Leopold & Loeb, Otis Toole and Henry Lee Lucas, the Texas "Candyman" killings, and others. And don't forget Bill and Hillary
