Rush Limbaugh says he was not calling for a riot in Denver during the Democratic National Convention he only "dreams" of it, to the tune of "White Christmas." For a second day in a row today, the conservative talker discussed the potential for protests and power struggles at the August convention.
"Now, I am not inspiring or inciting riots. I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming of riots in Denver," he said mimicking the holiday tune.

A really dumb thing to say.
Hey Rush? God called. He wants His throne back.
Sometimes it’s the working half of his brain that’s tied behind his back.
The DNC has basically said the same thing.
Operation Chaos is occurring in his head.
I think it’s a good dream.
And what’s with all the animosity towards Rush on FR these days?
I’ve been reading and posting on FR since shortly after 9/11/01 and I hardly ever get a chance to listen to Rush (in fact, I don’t listen to that much talk radio at all).
But I’d rather live in an America with a Rush Limbaugh and no FR than I would in an America with FR and no Rush Limbaugh.
I have to laugh when the the usual gaggle of tin-pot experts here on FR think they all know better than Rush.
One of the Denver talk show hosts is playing back Rush’s comments - and he’s showing that there’s a lot more in Rush’s talk than is written about in the Denver Post. Folks, the Post is only slightly to the right of Marx (they love our sanctuary city, and activitely support millions for housing for the “homeless”). Their writers (along with our clown TV stations) have the honesty and morality of NYT employees. Face it, Rush it right. The lefties will riot if they don’t get their way, and they’ll once again show the complete shallowness of the dhimmicrats. Of course Rush dreams of it (using irony to demonstrate irony). Let us not forget that it’s Sharpton who first hinted at rioting. And it’ll be loons who follow Sharpton who’ll carry it out. (Of course, Sharpton won’t be there... he’s got as much courage as Carter.)
—I was way ahead of Rush—those who know me and relish every word I post will recall my (regretfully and with mixed emotions) hope of a few months ago that Mayor Chickencooper has to call out the guard to restore order to the Demotraitor Denver conflab-—(sarc)—
More is no always better.
I don’t see anything wrong with daydreaming about the crack-up of the Democrat party. We’re all doing it in one way or another. Rush has guts and that’s why he’s number one.
I wonder what he’s really up to. We had a chance to kill Hillary’s campaign until he came out with his goofball plan for repubs to switch sides. All he did was strengthen Hillary, who has helped to damage Obama too fast. Obama would have been easy prey in the general, even for McCain. Now I’m getting the queasy feeling Hillary could be nominated. Rush was fine as a talk show host; as a political activist, he stinks.
I do not dream or wish harm to people or property....
To believe Limbaugh's opining will actually AUSE a riot in and of itself is to say more about the dims then about Limbaugh.
There is quite a difference between dreaming of something and advocating and inciting that something.
He's definitely jumped the shark. Don't be surprised if stations pull him off the air because of this ill-advised comment. "Highly trained broadcast professional" indeed.
You are 100% correct.
Look at it this way: if the Mullah Obama (or, less likely, The Beast) becomes president, an American city is probably going to get nuked.
What’s a little bit of self-inflicted street violence (it’s not Rush or Rush supporters who will be doing the rioting) if it prevents A President Mullah Obama?
It’s a good dream.
I think Rush is hillarious. Consider the lefties have made the Olympic Torch go underground. If there are riots in Denver, it’s not like the radicals in the dem party need Rush to prod them along. The press is annoyed because they know riots are a real possibility so they blame Rush for simply enjoying the show. They are jealous of his great success.
