MIKE REAGAN just threw McCain under the bus and drove over him.
Michael Reagan Show ^ | 04/24/08 | self

Posted on 04/24/2008 3:26:14 PM PDT by RadioCirca1970

Mike Reagan just said he wouldn't campaign for John McCain. Michael is disgusted that he would go to New Orleans and condemn the Federal Government for inaction. He also called the people in NOLA who wouldn't step up and accept responsibility losers. He was referring to Nagin and Co.

He said McCain is an idiot.

My jaw dropped when I saw McCain in NO putting all the blame on Bush and congress. What an ass.

Good for Reagan. Also, Jenna Bush would not support McCain when asked by Larry King. She is not willing to forget that McCain spent the last 7 years working with Dems. to undermine her father. I like that woman. Good for Jenna and Mike Reagan.

I've lost all respect for Mike. Two months ago he was “channeling” his father (sounds scarily like him, BTS) saying “vote for the party's candidate.”

GOP is indefensible right now. Whether you like it or not, spending and record spending is one of the reason. Guess who is #1 enemy of Pork on Capitol Hill? Guess who wants to eradicate influence of corrupt lobbyists? Who wants to cut down wastage? All things that GOP lost credibility on, but we are lucky to have a nominee, who hasn’t.

Mccain’s record with lobbyists is as bad as anyone else’s. You also might want to look at his very own Reform Institute to see the kind of leftwing BS he has been working on since 2000.

I have close family in the military and I do not want any of the three to be Commander-in-Chief. McCain abandoned our POW and he was nasty to their families, then asked to meet with his former captors.

I don't get any please reading about your dilema.  And it's a dilema we share.  I have made a decision.  It's my hope others will understand why I came to the conclusion I did and join me.

You take care.

Senator John McCain wants to be the figure-head of Conservatism.  Okay, lets think that out...

John McCain becomes President.  He's still the same old John McCain.

The RNC backs his liberal policies to maintain a position of power
The Republicans in Congress back his polices to maintain access to the White House
Republican candidates for Congressional seats move to the left, since John McCain proved that moving to the left assures
RNC support  and
votes
The Republican party leadership at the state level moves left as McCain and the RNC demand it
Republican candidates at the state level move to the left, since John McCain proved that moving to the left assures Republican support and votes
Republican Conservative office holders across the nation will be silenced
Apologists on Conservative forums across this nation defend McCain against the few Conservatives who are left, and attack them there (forums move left)
Last but not least, the Democrats move even farther left to differentiate themselves from McCain

Who writes Conservative bills and rams them through state or federal government after that?

Who talks about Conservatism from a position of power?  Who takes the chance to disagree with McCain on anything?

Under a John McCain Presidency, Conservatism ceases to become a movement, and becomes a theory.  It will no longer be practiced by enough politicians to be viable.

Under leftist McCain, there is no functional opposition.  Promoting leftist policy, it all passes without opposition, nobody objects to the liberal policies
Under leftist Hillary or Barack, there is not only a functional opposition, it grows by leaps and bounds in objection to their policies

We saw what a one party system did to Arkansas under Clinton.  It was terrible.  Now we want to install that in our federal government, leftists one and all.

No thanks.  Color me dumb, but I'm not voting to turn the U.S. into 1980s Arkansas.

LINK: Welcome to McCain's impact on future candidates, it's being advocated
LINK: Welcome to McCain's impact on State level Republican party leadership, it's happening
LINK: Welcome to McCain's impact on Republican Conservative office holder voices, it's happening
LINK: Welcome to McCain's impact on Conservative forums, it's happening

Folks, you either wake the hell up, or doom conservatism to oblivion.  After November the 4th, it's too late.  You will have silenced Conservatism in our nation for four or eight years, and quite possibly forever.

He is an idiot. Unfortunately, there are 2 bigger idiots on the other side.

Which means it's not the brightest thing in the world to slam our last chance.......we could still end up with clinton or obama. God help us.

"He said McCain is an idiot."

Yes, and disloyal and nasty, but I will vote for him as the least evil of the alternative.

McCain may be a complete jerk, but he's our jerk!

How did we ever get ourselves buried under this mountain of stinking S#!+? One would think in a country of 300 million people, we could come up with at least one decent candidate who could tell some semblance of the truth and lead this nation!

“If we get Lindsey Graham” (for VP)

Oh my, please tell me this isn’t even being considered!!!!

These two would be the “2 banditos” for Amnesty.

I didn’t know that Ronald Reagan was the lesser of two evils.

Glad you know me so well that you feel free to make such a stupid statement.

You ever think that just possibly, I might reflect a good chunk of the GOP? That just perhaps I’m not alone?

I’ve known when to make my stands. I’ve an ex wife and an ex fiance that will testify to that fact.

The GOP runs another McCain in 4 years and I’ll vote either 3rd party or not at all.

Now is not the time to make that stand.

BINGO! I've had to retract my statement that I would never vote for “Ace” under any circumstance. Unfortunately, he is all that is between us and another terrorist attack.

he’s throwing the entire party under the bus.

It's only fair, the party threw us under the bus a long time ago. I don't know if I can eat another excrement sandwich come November.

I received a RNC fund-raising letter today; you know, one with the poll to fill out. Lots of obvious questions about the usual stuff. Not word one about immigration, however. Gee, imagine that.

Not suprising because there is growing revolt among some conservitive GOPers.

Growing? Hells bells, the revolt has been going on since Rudy jumped into the ring.

Although if more people are waking up to the fact that they've been had then: "Welcome to the party Pal!"
