He probably wanted to ride with Congressman Jefferson on emergency vehicles to get some of that cold cash.

He would have then proceeded to yell at the hurricane, which would have scared it and made it turn west and beat the hell out of Mexico.
Not a bad plan really.

Hillary ought to top him and point out that she would have landed right in the Ninth Ward on her broomstick with her flying monkeys and started handing out candy.

If Bush had done it, it would have helped to defang some of the mindless criticism aimed at him. What McCain is describing isn't a course of action that could have changed anything, but a PR exercise that might have produced meaningful political results. It's easy to dismiss public relations, but showing people that you care is now apparently a requirement for the presidency. And sustaining a war effort in the face of left-wing forces determined to end it certainly takes more public relations effort (in terms of reminding people why we are fighting, what our goals and objectives are, and what we're doing to attain them) than this administration has put forth.

And? Like that would have done what? Pimp slapped Mayor Nagin? Forced Governor Blanco to Louisania National Guard under Federal control? Lead a rescue mission to the Superdome with Porta-Johns and MREs?

And? Like that would have done what? 1. Provided an opportunity for a photo op
2. Given McCain a platform to complain about violent weather changes and to tout the McCain-Lieberman Climate Stewardship Act
as the necessary action to prevent total destruction of the earth.

Given the sawed off, hammered down runt a photo op. I just can't think of a word strong enough to describe my utter disdain for this POS. Every day it gets worse. As vile and contemptible as Hillary and Obama are, they do not quite sink to McCain's level of dishonor. The thought that one of these vermin will occupy the White House makes me vomit.
