A tradition in the politics of American presidential campaigns is the increase in disingenuous rhetoric, often with minimal regard for recognizing the realities of the day. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton fight to emulate the ''real deal'' as presidential candidates who will ''end the war'' in Iraq. It's as if the outcome in Iraq has no consequence to the future of the human political rights in the Middle East, or anywhere else on the globe. Oddly, Jimmy Carter rises from the ash heap of presidential politics past, proclaiming that Hamas is ready to ''accept Israel as its neighbor.'' Might America also be ready for a new understanding of Islamic terrorism? Is it all much ado about nothing?
As the campaign for the White House in 2008 more and more emulates the simple-minded myopia of ''Support the Troops, Bring them Home'' yard signs, there's a different message being brought to bear upon the ''thin blue line'' protecting the residents of Main Street and Elm Street America. Some in the endless 2008 presidential campaign promise a departure from the ''politics of fear.'' However, training mandated by Pennsylvania's Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) tells a different story, as municipal law enforcement learn to comprehend the real threat of radical Islam.
Understanding this threat is a complicated quest that still evades the United States, even after 9/11. Waled Phares, senior fellow and director of the Future Terrorism Project at the Foundation_for_the_Defense_of_Democracies is credited in the 2008 MPOETC with the following 2005 quote: ''Jihad is not benign, and the West's denial of that fact was terribly ironic: The United States was paving the way for its own defeat, by blurring its vision, confusing its mind, and moderating its reactions to the early danger signs, not to mention the terrorist strikes to come.

They should learn to integrate the militia, too.
But, someone told me it was a religion of peace. I’m confused. What threat? They don’t like us?
> They should learn to integrate the militia, too.
What do you mean the militia? Every citizen who has sworn allegiance to the Constitition of the United States is the militia. I have no problem grabbing a gun and standing beside the police to combat terrorists.
The message we usually get from law enforcement and the like is that we should hide and keep our heads down. Many of us are capable and willing to help, but they don’t want civilians to have any part. They don’t trust us.
“I have no problem grabbing a gun and standing beside the police to combat terrorists.”
The real problem is that the police have been protecting the terrorists...so you will be viewed as the criminal for trying to protect the homeland.

Shocking Attack by ‘Peace Thugs’ in Pennsylvania!
The good news, this mosque/madrassa didn't root well, and the old church is for sale. Only ten times what they paid for it, my realtor informs me. And all tax free for them, because they're a religious organization!
(P.S.: The bad news, it'll never sell at that price, but it might get them a nice fat loan.)
They never will. The “militia” doesn’t legitmately exist in their eyes.
Thanks for the ping. Time we stop being blind with political correctness and see that (radical) islam is a very real threat to every free society on this planet.

These people have to prepare for the real world, and not the hallucinogenic alternative reality of progressive liberalism and the multi-cultural cultists.
"...It's time we recognized the nature of the conflict. It's total war and we are all involved. Nobody on our side is exempted because of age, gender, or handicap. The Islamofacists have stolen childhood from the world." [FReeper Retief]
"...That the totalitarian force pitted against freedom wears a religious makes this civil war among mankind all the more difficult to engage. Loving freedom as we do, it seems reprehensible to deliberate against a religion. But this is no ordinary religion as it demands absolute obedience of all to their religion at the cost of freedom itself." [FReeper Backtothestreets]
They will not let you...
As soon as the issue of domestic (internal) terrorist attacks become an everyday occurance over here, and the Law Enforcement community becomes overwhelmed by the tenacity and committment of the enemy...That will be the time our government and its authority will throw its hands into the air and give up (un-officially)...
I believe we will be able to handle it at that time...
It is a sad thing, and I hope it really doesn’t ever happen...But the people wanting to drive the boat are steering us in that direction already...
“Training”??? What “more” training do they, or we really need???
Sensitivity training??? Is that what is being implied here???
Geesh...
Your tag line, and its wonderful context by the original author really speak volumes of truth these days!
