Mark Steyn and James Lileks have reacted on tonight's show to the 2007 audio of Ayers and Dohrn dug up by Guy Benson. Much should be written about it and what it tells us about Senator Obama, but whether the MSM even notices remains to be seen.
A caller from North Carolina, Steve, noted the obvious: We know what Dohrn and Ayers were thinking about the U.S. in 2007. We know that they know Obama well, and have "vetted" him. And we know they supported him from 1995 forward.
UPDATE: Powerline's John Hinderacker begins the hard-look at "The Friends of Barack Obama."
Keep in mind a young radio producer --Guy Benson of WYLL's The Sandy Rios Show-- found audio that no one else in all of the MSM found to launch this story. What else will we be discovering about Barack Obama's friends, and about the candidate?

You can pick your nose, and you can pick your friends...
The Dems agree with Ayers. Obama’s approval numbers would probably go up among the Dems if they found this out. It is in the general election that this should hurt Obama.
I agree. The audio I heard was pretty standard lefty boilerplate.
This is where Barack Obama chose to build his political base.
Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to
prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that
seemed delightfully uncalculated [...], Mr. Obama described the
call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at
sunset."

Underground links likely to resurface for Obama
John Kass
April 23, 2008
Broadway Baby was not mentioned during the Democratic infighting in Pennsylvania.
But Broadway Babyonce a chic children’s boutique in Manhattan’s Upper West Sideis the future, if Barack Obama is the presidential candidate in the fall.
This story involves two Chicagoans, former Weather Underground terrorist leaders Bernardine Dohrn and her husband, William Ayers, both Obama supporters who blessed his initial foray into politics. Last week, the unrepentant Ayers became a flash point in Obama’s debate with Hillary Clinton.
“And what they [Weather Underground] did was set bombs and in some instances people died,” said Clinton, sweetly playing the white terrorist card. “I know Sen. Obama is a good man and I respect him greatly, but I think this is an issue that certainly the Republicans will be raising.”’
And why shouldn’t they?
As president, Hillary’s husband commuted the prison sentences of two other Weather Underground members and of Puerto Rican terrorists, so her scolding was quite unconvincing.
Obama insists such gotcha politics is beneath our dignity. But no association is above question for a candidate, whether Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Illinois political fixer Tony Rezko, or Ayers and Dohrn.
Clinton and Republican John McCain have suffered scrutiny. The only one treated as an infant in swaddling clothes by the national mediauntil quite recentlyis Sen. Change....

WOW! If you drill into John Kass’ Chicago Trib column from the Hugh Hewitt link provided, you find out that the real story has been twisted. Ayers & Dorhn beat some vague 1969 charges, but were still up to their eyeballs in violent crime & terrorism as of the early 80’s. And then, viola, they are hired into academia, and show up hosting Obama’s initial political fund-raiser a mere 13 years after their (or at least their gang’s) last “known” criminal acts. Mysteriously, Ayers walked away from all this in the early 80’s without doing any jail time & with a clean record and a sweet professor gig. Dorhn pays a $1,500 fine and walks into a sweet academic job also. Amazing!
In about 1997, give or take a year, I heard Dohrn give an address at the U of Michigan where she bitterly torn into then President Bill Clinton and talked about the need to take over the Party. Kinda like how she and Ayers took over (stole if you like) SDS from the moderate lefties. Obama is their vehicle.
One line of hers was that the only building going on under Clinton was "more prisons and casinos." Well, infrastructure did suffer then.
I think this is only the tip of the iceburg
