Tony Snow cancels speeches at EWU
SPOKANE -- Former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow has canceled a series of speaking engagements at Eastern Washington University because of illness.
Snow was supposed to make a series of appearances Tuesday at EWU. However, he was taken to the hospital to be treated for exhaustion, in consultation with his doctor, according to a source at the University.
The source said he checked into the hospital at 9:30 a.m.
Snow was diagnosed with colon cancer several years ago, and he left his position as press secretary for President Bush in September to deal with the disease. He has said the cancer is in remission.
This week, Snow was hired by CNN to be a conservative commentator. Before being named Press Secretary, he spent several years working at CNN rival Fox News.
On Monday, Tony Snow appeared on KXLY 920 AM's Newscope with Mike Fitzsimmons.
KXLY.com's Brian Clark, KXLY 4's Janet O and the Associated Press contributed to this story.
Prayers for this good man ... may God watch over Tony Snow.
I forgot to include in my earlier post: I pray that God will bless our loved friend Tony Snow with the same life, strength and endurance. May God also grace his family with strength and endurance.
Prayers for Tony and his family.
Prayers for Tony and his family. Godspeed.
Oh, Tony ... I take back my “Tony the Token” jibe about your CNN opportunity (but you knew it was all in fun). Our prayers are with you.
I join in urgent prayer for Tony Snow!
Prayers for our dear friend Tony.
Prayers for your friend, too.
Yes, a super nice guy.
I sure hope it’s nothing serious.
Thanks for posting. I hadn’t heard until just now.
Amen!
Tony’s in a hospital in Spokane?
There are 6 hospitals in the Spokane area, 2 of them world-class, Deaconess and Sacred Heart. If he’s at either of them, he’s in VERY good hands.
Get well soon, Mr. Snow. God bless you.
God bless you Tony! I’m praying for you.
Prayers up!
Hang in there Tony. Cancer is a bitch, I do know this from personal experience. It can be beaten.
Prayers up for Tony and family! My wife (coincidently named Toni) was diagnosed with colon cancer last October. They removed a foot and a half of colon and sewed it back together. Has about 1 month of chemo left and her CT scan last month looked good. She has done well, a true fighter! Has not missed work and has not lost her hair. Through advanced cancer technology and some old fashioned praying, cancer is not as much of the dreaded word that it was when I was growing up. Keep on fightin’ Tony and Toni!
God Bless Tony.
Adding my prayers for Tony. Class act.
bttt
Praying for you, Tony!
Prayers for Tony!
