So much for global warming. Earth Day festivities went ahead despite the blast of frigid weather yesterday.
Vendors and presenters from various eco-friendly groups, including Bullfrog Power, CO2 Reduction Edmonton and the local solar energy society, crammed into a lone tent in Hawrelak Park after a blizzard forced them to abandon their original locations.
Organizers crammed over 40 groups in a space that would normally be occupied by half that number. Presenters' booths were initially planned to have been spread out between at least five tents, with far larger displays.
A lemonade vendor towards the front might as well not have been there.
"Obviously we'll have fewer people than we would have liked, but to cancel an Earth Day event because of weather would kind of be the antithesis of what this is all about," said organizer Janice Boudreau.

to cancel an Earth Day event because of weather would kind of be the antithesis of what this is all about," The widespread use of misinformation and fear mongering is what "this is all about."

Al Gore will be historically known for having the most bazaar political timing, from choosing to be BJ clintoon’s VP to endorsing Dean shortly before he came out on his screaming tour, to attempting to build a Global Warming Bandwagon during a blizzard. The guy is blind to reality.

This guy (Gore) has made $100,000,000 on his carbon trading and global warming scams. Methinks he isn’t blind to reality, but rather knows these ecomorons are and is cashing in on their stupidity...

A blizzard on ‘Earth Day’ is the anti-thesis of what you hope to accomplish.

I dunno. Gore is slicker than willie with his flim-flam-scam. He went into politics to make money and hit paydirt.

I just got a "Happy Earth Day" EMail at work, reminding me to "Do Something Good for the Environment."
Now....if I spammed the entire company with a "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Hanukkah" Email....I'd likely be looking for a new job the next day. I guess some religions are better than others.

Find a short article about Earth Day being Lenin’s birthday and send it out along with a, TNT note for the reminder.

Our spring here in Central Oregon has been cold and snowy. This morning there is several inches of fresh snow to embrace Earth Day revelers and Algore worshipers. I'm lovin it! I just hope it warms up so that my peas sprout before they rot in the ground.
