Curry Concerned About GOP 'Swiftboating;' Hillary: I'm Like Ginger Rogers
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

When's the last time you heard the MSM talk about a Republican being hit by the "Democrat attack machine"? Scratch that. Have you ever heard the MSM talk about a Republican being hit by the "Democrat attack machine"? Neither have I. But fretting about impending Republican "swiftboating" of the Dem presidential candidate is an MSM staple, and we saw a good example of it on this morning, right down to an image of John Kerry in uniform.

Oh, and Hillary Clinton sees herself like a modern-day Ginger Rogers.

Ann Curry had a chance to interview both Dem candidates recently, and Today ran an extended clip during this morning's first half-hour, the two interviews being artfully edited into a back-and-forth. Overall, I'd say Curry gave Hillary the tougher time, but be that as it may, let's focus on two snippets. First, Curry fretting to Obama about those mean Republicans. Check out the screencap. Kerry in uniform, decorations on display. Beneath, the graphic ominously asks: "Can Obama Handle Republican Attacks?" Again I ask: have you ever, EVER, seen the mirror-image graphic in the MSM?

Swiftboating Republicans, and don’t we all confuse Hillary and Ginger Rogers? Ping to Today show list?

Republicans invented Swift Boating, and regardless of who wins the Democratic nomination, there will be a target-rich environment.

McCain has his skeletons too. Expect him to receive more than his share.

Ann Curry makes me earp. Her smarmy, sickeningly sweet, hushed-breath delivery makes my espohagus spasm. In her interview of Obeyme, I thought she was about to go down on him.

Hillary as Ginger Rogers.

That’s going to take some time to sink in.

Or a willing suspension of disbelief;)

Today's BIG question:

If Hilalry fancies herself as Ginger Rogers, whom does she imagine as Fred Asraire? Can Web Hubbell waltz? Could Vince Foster foxtrot?

It is like Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire: you know, I have to do everything Fred does, only backwards and in high heels. The most pervasive form of discrimination in the world, no matter what the ethnicity, the race, the religion of the people who live in any society, is discrimination against women.

Hillary is one tough, relentless woman...

Democrats here in Eastern PA love her. When she came to Bethlehem on Sunday, they were ecstatic...

If she REALLY looked like Ginger Rogers, she’d be showing skin, wearing miniskirts, and the Clintons would weasel back in the White House. Thank God she doesn’t. It’s going to be tough enough to beat them as it is.

McCain has his skeletons too. Expect him to receive more than his share.

But at least he can't be painted into a tiny little corner that would have held him immobile while they pounded him with artillery. Rather, he is all over the map and thus difficult to hit. That's why it's providential that we have him and not Romney or Huckabee (each of whom could have been cornered, easily).

Anyone who uses “Swift Boating” as a derogatory term is showing the world how mentally incapable (not too “Swift”) they are in understanding simple truths in black and white. The list is long. The original campaign apparently went right over the heads of those who continue to get away with linking honesty and valor to negativity. Idiots, all.

Hillary in Bethlehem on Sunday...

My daughter drove past this event, and Hillary's fans were all over the streets waiting to get in. My daughter said they were hysterically happy and excited...

Republicans invented Swift Boating

Attacking your political opponent on his character and history has been around since cavemen first started holding elections.

The term "swift boating" was just a whine invented by supporters of the biggest whinging pussy to ever face such criticism.

Hillary’s right. She DOES have something in common with Ginger Rogers. Both, in their late careers failed miserably to impress the ticket buyers/voters. Ginger stayed in the game too long and had to drop out of her last appearance tours when the critics slammed her. Hillary is OVER THE HILL(ARY).
