it’s got to be a quack who invented the colonoscopy......

HAving had one and polyps removed, I am grateful for that "quack".............

Decades ago I was subjected to a Sigmoidoscope - no fiber optics, just a straight tube about a foot long, that was about as uncomfortable as anything except the surgical removal of 4 impacted wisdom teeth several years later.

5 years ago I had a colonscopy, and two polyps removed from the far end of my ascending colon - impossible to detect with older technology. I go back for another look in two weeks, and the worst part will be the aches and pains of going off aspirin for a month.
