Clinton Supporter Says Anti-Obama Campaign in the Works---
Rick Sloan says he doesn't want to see the Democrats get "Swift Boated" again this time. So the communications director for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers has sent a couple of dozen friends union leaders and Democratic activists, mainly an urgent plea to pay attention to Sen. Barack Obama's connections with the 1960s anti-war group, the Weather Underground, and other leftist thinkers. debate
Democrats "can't be an ostrich on this" with their heads buried in the sand, Sloan said in an interview.
He sent a copy of the memo to ABC News by e-mail.
Titled "What Is Rove Up To?," Sloan writes that Rove will seek to redefine Obama's signature slogan "Change We Can Believe In" and brand it instead as "revolutionary change, change driven by an alien ideology, change no patriotic American could stomach. And he intends to do so by channeling Sen. Joseph McCarthy."
The IAMAW endorsed Clinton last year, and Sloan is an avid Clinton supporter. The document makes no mention of Sloan's position with the union, and he told ABC News he sent it as a private citizen, not in his role as a spokesman for the union.
"Democratic operatives ought to be aware of what the Republican attack machine has been doing for two weeks," Sloan said in the interview.

Limo LibPervs: You down with OPP?
Barry O.( with a girlish squeal): Yeah you know MEEEeee!
Well, the Swift Boat veterans told the truth about John Kerry, and it cost him the election.
Very true, the same thing could happen to Obama. All it would take is someone to get the truth about him past the media blockade.
Mike Warner was a better candidate on their side. Don’t know why he did not run.
Sums up Jimmy.
There were many better candidates, but the press shut out everyone but B. Hussein and Hillary because, after all, wouldn’t it be great to have a woman or black as their candidate. Mediots will live to regret their tampering with the electoral process.
I’d like to see them regulated or at least sued by those who carefully count up the hours of media time and positive/negative slant they give each candidate. The press doesn’t answer to anyone — and apparently they should, as they’ve become nothing but a PR firm.
The two terms we must never let liberals utter without getting a face full of claws are
McCarthyism
and “Swift Boated”
Sounds like a decent translation to me - the MSM doesn’t like the marxists they back to be criticized at all.
Demorats are experts at picking losers. Republicans are experts at knocking them over. Examples- LBJ, Humprey, McGovern, Mondale, Dukais, Gore, and Kerry. I guess I have to correct myself about the Repubs. It’s not that they are so good. The Demorats are just so bad.
The thought of Hitlery's Opposition Research rootin' through their lives, garbage and whatnot stopped all but the truly narcicistic from getting in this race.
“Titled “What Is Rove Up To?,””
Hillary knows how to invoke liberal demons and bugaboos, such as “rove.” She probably has a good laugh about it.
Exactly. Sloan's hallucinations about Rove would not be Swiftboating. Swiftboating was accomplished by a group of witnesses who wanted to rip the facade off a deceitful candidate. Rove could not fit that pattern.
Obama will get swift boated only if he is lying. I expect him to be swift boated. Hillary is getting Swiftvoted. She can’t tell the truth either.
McCarthyism
and Swift Boated
What about a third term. “Borked” Just the opposite of Swiftboat-
How is that possible? Obama NEVER pretended to a patriot.
True enough
Mr. Sloan is telling the truth; the McCain campaign will not do it but a 527 Group will “Swift-boat” Obama on this.
And, I must say with all meekness.....I AM FREAKIN’ LOVIN’ IT!!!
