It occurred during his 1992 Senate reelection campaign. Three reporters were witnesses. McCain attributed it to being tired. I kindly ask you to Google the C-word and Cindy McCain and read. I really don’t want to post such profanity here.

Of the three would they prefer Obama or the Hildibeast over McCain?

If I were the Vietnamese I would be very nervous.

As a graduate of USNA and survivor of a “real Plebe year”..and a survivor of torture and interogation by the NVN..my guess is that McCain knows how to use and control his temper.
For those of you have never had the experience of having being called various names and yelled at while “shoved out” and sweating from a few hundred push ups..well you learn to control your temper.
Then the next minute your tormentor starts eating his ice cream..that you gave up.
And the Terrible Tenth was worse.

I probably shouldn't say this, but when I took care of NVA POW, I often felt closer to them than the US Senators and others who visited the hospital. I am sure Senator McCain also has some sympathy for military professionals--even though they were fierce, implacable adversaries.

I personally view McCain's position on the POW issue to be one of his finest moments. He could have said nothing or supported further investigations under the cover of his 5 plus year POW status. He didn't. He took the hard, courageous road.

Those wanting a Mr. Rogers in the White House should vote for Barack.

Just use a public search engine. I was going to respond on a thread the other day, and was searching for a source, and a previous FR post of mine came up. Alas, I guess I didn't find the source then either.

So, to avoid the possibility of being compared to Ward Churchill...I passed on commenting.

“”But McCain went on: ‘I wouldn’t call you an a–hole unless you really were an a–hole.”””

Now THAT is something rare in politics. Someone actually telling it like it is. I ADMIRE a politician who don’t mince words. I ADMIRE a politician who won’t back down without a fight.
Too many politicians fold when confronted. As Rush calls them the “New CAstrade”. It takes BALLS to stand your ground. Few if any current politicians have ever even served the military in combat, let alone been a POW.
I suspect most politicians under the same circumstances would spill their guts as the traitors they currently portray.

The traitors mince words like “ I didn’t say it as good as I should have” or “I didn’t mean to say it like that and this is what I really ment to say”........
What kind of message does a demoRat send when they can’t be decisive and stand their ground when confronted???
It sure is not strength or leadership!

Temper is not a negative issue. Submission is a negative.

“We are no longer at war and it takes a real dork to try to keep this alive.”

How DARE YOU call dorks those mothers, fathers, sons, daughters and wives who live every day of their lives not knowing what happened to their loved ones because certain people within our government were eager to sweep the past under the rug and, for their own reasons, make nicey-nice, kissy face with the Communist Vietnamese.

They are the “dorks” keeping this issue alive. They and veterans who will never, NEVER forget the ones our perfidious government left behind.

Senator McCain is a believer in peace, my a*s. Senator McCain believes in Senator McCain.

I would love to respond; but I have no idea what you are talking about.

What phony guy? Who is helping Obama? And the Soros party funds McCain.

I need a map to follow you. Please provide one.

Pure, unadulterated fabricated character assassination by the Washington Compost. First of many.

If the Washington Post had even the slightest interest in the mental well being of political figures, it would examine glib sociopaths like Obama or Hillary, or psychopathic lunatics like Howard Dean or the “Reverend” Wright.

They recently recovered the remains of another Korean War MIA.
As much as we would like to account for every MIA with respect for their families, priorities change for the majority who survive.
They are gone but not forgotten. Tis a sad legacy of war.

Another little insight was his reaction to the death and destruction caused by the accident on the Forrestal. When he saw the damage, he said it gave him pause as to what he was a party to in bombing North Vietnam. He then volunteered to immediately go back into action.

You talking about McCain again, the admirer of Ruth Ginsberg?

Yes, he was all for her.
