FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BURNS BRANCH DAVIDIANS - April 19, 1993
WGBH ^ | 1995 | Frontline

Posted on 04/18/2008 12:21:19 PM PDT by Constitutionalist1958

At 5:59 a.m., SAGE telephones the Davidians, notifying them of an imminent tear-gas assault. SAGE reads a message over the loudspeaker, advising the Davidians that they are under arrest and should come out. At 6:02 a.m., two FBI combat engineering vehicles, or CEVs, begin inserting gas into the compound through spray nozzles attached to a boom. At 6:04 a.m., the Davidians start shooting, and the FBI begin deploying Bradley vehicles to insert ferret rounds through the windows. At 6:31, the HRT reports that the entire building is being gassed. At about 7 a.m., RENO and senior advisors go to the FBI situation room. At 7:30, a CEV breaches the front side of the building on the first floor as it injects gas, and at 7:58 a.m., gas is inserted in the second floor of the back-right corner of the building. The FBI calls for more gas from outside Waco, and at 9:20 a.m., 48 more ferret rounds arrive from Houston. At about 9:30 a.m., with the supply of ferret rounds dwindling, one CEV is having mechanical troubles, and high winds are blowing the gas away. Another CEV begins enlarging the opening in the middle-front of the building "from which the Davidians could escape" and a third CEV with a boom but lacking a gas delivery system breaches the rear side of the building "to create openings near the gymnasium." At about 11 a.m., (Washington time) RENO talks to CLINTON, saying everything seems to be going well, and she leaves for a judicial conference in Baltimore at 11:30 a.m.. The CEV without a gas delivery system breaches the back side of the compound, concentrating on the back right corner near the warehouse-gymnasium. At 11:40 a.m., the last ferret rounds are delivered.

You mean where the cop shot himself in the leg. And then the 4th cop shoots into the room where his buddies just went?

I probably am wasting my time. I originally bought the govt story but did some research. There was just too much evidence and coincidence to buy the official story. Add in the same people were in charge of Ruby Ridge and its pretty evident.

These were perhaps weird people, perhaps it was a cult. But they weren’t criminals and didn’t deserve what they got. If they were so bad then how did they get a FFL to sell firearms?

Yes.
I just wanted to make sure the alphabet agency cheerleaders were aware of this footage.. Maybe later we can look at some of the autopsy reports on the multiple bullet wounds to the heads of Slick’s dear friends.

Yeah, they were weird, I suppose. {Some people might think my church is weird} But they were our fellow citizens. They were supposed to be under the full protection of our Bill of Rights, yet they were executed without trial.

Now you know what sticks in my craw? We have folks in Washington making the lives of some of our Marines a living hell. Their “crime”? Shooting some militant jihad joes on the battlefield in the heat of the moment. Enemies who are not eligible, nor deserving constitutional protection. I don't think the Geneva convention can be twisted enough to protect such “combatants”.

We can seek justice for Achmed the terrorist, but not the Branch Davidians.

I am not an apologist for the actions at Waco or Ruby Ridge, both were abuses of government powers. However, it is clear that the people who stayed inside the Davidian Compound did so on their own free will and had every opportunity to leave.

I'm with you. It was a completely botched situation, from start to finish. Having said that, Koresh was a whack job, and the rest of the adults in the compound were not much better. I feel for those kids, and place much of the blame on the parents.

If memory serves correct, there were some Green Berets in the helicopters, “Advising” the FBI.

There are folks who believe everything they see on the six o’clock news.
There are folks who will chase after every conspiracy theory that comes along.
And there are folks who are afraid to face anything that upsets their view of the world. No amount of reasoning will sway them.

Your comment is truer than you know.

Anyone who looks closely at what happend in Waco, Texas 15 years ago would realize the horrible truth of the matter, and that is that the U.S. government carried out a coldly pre-meditated and ruthless mass murder on live TV, and got away with it cleanly. The only people to ever face charges were the victims and whistleblowers.

That realization brings with it a lot of other baggage that most folks aren't really willing to take a close look at because it brings to mind some serious questions about everything they've ever been taught about how our nation is supposed to function. Who knows how far down the rabbit hole one can go?

Personally, I don't think we've had a "Free Republic" on this continent for almost a hundred years. We've had the illusion of one, for those who don't step outside the box to look at it from afar. I believe the first Matrix movie came the closest I've ever seen to really describing the conflict between the illusion and reality. It was a pretty powerfully constructed metaphor that can be taken quite far on several levels. The main difference being, there is no Neo around to save the day.

Yup, it’s been 15 years and there wasn’t much of an internet back then. I happen to know this first hand and furnished the card to the Davidians lawyer, also, it was on the local news.

The closest thing many of us had to the internet was Fidonet. I wish I had my old archives of certain Fidonet forums like AEN_News

Hillary and Vince Foster were there at Waco, by the way.

This happened about 30 miles north of me, and coverage was very ‘clinton’ at the time.

Sure wasn't any WWW!

But their was compuserve, prodigy, aol, and a few others, and I'm here to tell you Waco/ Ruby Ridge damn near burned the servers down!

If FReereublic had been around back then, all this naysaying, support the nazis folks would have hung their heads in shame with all the truth that did get dispersed on that tragedy...

At 6:02 a.m., two FBI combat engineering vehicles, or CEVs, begin inserting gas into the compound through spray nozzles attached to a boom.

Whoever gave this order is a mass murderer of children. That was CS gas, which must NEVER be used on children even in the open air, because the diameter of their respiratory airways is smaller than an adult, and they suffocate. By using this substance in an enclosed space where there were known to be children, they guaranteed that there would have been dead babies at the end of the siege even if there hadn't been any fire. No wonder they wanted to get rid of the evidence.

I will never forgive those responsible for this travesty. Some of our "public servants" should have faced a firing squad for this. I wish I had sat on the survivors' trial jury afterwards. Justice would have been done.

I do not believe that FBI and BATF Agents would intentionally set the place on fire.

Your faith in the G-men is misplaced. They are the scum that knowingly pumped CS gas into an enclosed building containing children. Autopsies showed that dozens of children died from the gas before the fire even started. This effect of CS gas on children has been known for decades. They did this deliberately and knowingly, and they are mass murderers. Those who ordered and carried out this attack should have been tried for first-degree murder of children, and then executed, starting with the Reno beast.

Why is it that none of the agents who were involved have come forward to say that their commander gave them orders to shoot?

Because our police now divide the whole world into "us" versus "them." There are no civilians in a cop's world, only cops and perps.

I believe the FBI set the place on fire when they learned that the children had already died from gas suffocation. The fire was meant to corrupt and destroy the evidence.

That's exactly right. That's what CS gas does to children in confined spaces. It kills them stone dead in a matter of minutes. This has been well known for decades. There is no possibility that this was a careless accident, not when all the organs of the police state were focused on this event for weeks and weeks beforehand.

Janet Reno and the FBI deliberately murdered dozens of innocent children, to teach the rest of us a lesson about obeying our masters. It backfired badly on them, and I for one will never forgive them.

Was the first cover up the missing front door and the tape footage when Koresh opened the door? Also is Carole Moore the best source on Waco?

Possibly. It's hard to say. The charges were bogus from the beginning. It's difficult to imagine that the ATF goons didn't know that their informant was blind. Plus, they had a man on the inside. They even went to Mt. Carmel and shot with Koresh on his range. Koresh knew he was being watched from the house across the road. I've never exchanged correspondence with Carol Moore. I personally believe Carol Valentine is a little more reliable. She's the only one who took the time to obtain all the autopsy reports and put them online for everyone to read and review. Everyone else wants to ignore the autopsy reports.

Yep, being weird is ok unless its related to being Christian of any flavor. The lowest depravity is accepted without a thought but by golly don’t establish a “compound”. It is ok to establish a commune as long as you preach leftist anti-american dribble.
