Decatur, Illinois
My wife and I just felt a very noticeable earthquake.
You must not have had an Amber Alert in your area yet. The first time that happened here it scared the crap outta me. LOL
We’re in Cincinnati and felt it.
The minute this girl realized where the NMF was...she bought adequate insuance.
I heard on the 6 oclock local news it was felt in upper east Tennessee
Not suprising because I have been reading off and on about these fault lines. I hope to find a map about the different fault lines that one in this country.
Heeeheeee,He must be a heavy sleeper like my husband.
FOR ALL OF THOSE WHO FELT IT... PLEASE FILL OUT A SHORT REPORT
Did You Feel It?

I think the NMF is in the Cape Gireadau, MO area.
Been there, done that!
Good to let folks know they can too. I only started really following quakes since seeing the wonderful minds posting about them on FR.
I really love that I could come here to get some “backup”, lol, in addition to the USGS. Think I’ll send some money.
87 posts and not one from an apocalpytikook yet. This is very refreshing.
Whoa!
I’ll be interesting in talking to the family, to see who all felt it. We’ve got the area covered, with people in E-town, Louisville, Lexington, and Bowling Green. I bet my son in Lex didn’t feel it, he sleeps through anything.
Are you sure it was not Bush's fault?
Glad y’all are safe. No damage, I assume?
We didn’t feel a thing over here in NE OK.
They are in fact doing a open lines for earthquake experiencers LMAO.
another slow news day in Indy.
LOL. I didn't realize how many of us were in the St. Louis area.
My bed felt like it was on wheels, sure woke me up. I could hear a low rumble too.
Oh yeah, I know that yours wasn’t for an Amber Alert, but (up here at least) they use the EBS to broadcast Amber Alerts. The first time that I heard it go off, I thought we were going to have nucular combat, toe-to-toe with the Russkies. Just saying that I can relate to the feeling, that’s all. :)
I’m in Cincinnati. I felt it around 5:30. There was a rumbling like thunder, and the house began to vibrate for about 30 seconds to a minute. I put the news on immediately after my mom speculated it was an earthquake. There was nothing, so I switched to a tv show. I put the news on at 6:00 where they had it as breaking news. They are interviewing people from around the tri-state who felt it and said the phone lines are jammed. There is damage in our area, but they think there might be some closer to the center in eastern Illinois. It was a 5.4 at the epicenter. They said this is the anniversary of a large earthquake that hit San Francisco in 1906. It was over an eight on the scale.
