Simply coming up with a project like this is evidence of “serious mental health concerns.” What is most interesting, however, is that almost everyone assumed that this sort of thing would be all in a day’s work at Yale.

I must admit, I was taken in at first. When I read your comment I had some doubts, which cheered me up a bit.

What ambiguity is that? Seems pretty straightforward to me. She’s a sick individual as is everyone else involved.

What ambiguity? I've been a woman my entire life, and find nothing ambiguous about it, although I am a bit disappointed that gravity seems to be taking over. I think this "art student" needs some serious mental evaluation and help, and possibly counseling on the benefits of growing up.
You would think that a University as prestigious as Yale would be able to teach their students the difference between performance art and simply trolling.

Perhaps it’s what she actually planned to do for her “senior art project”, but she didn’t get around to it. So at the last minute, realizing time had run out and she wasn’t going to graduate if she didn’t get academic credit for her “art” project, she just claimed she did it, and then said the claim constituted “performance art”. Easy way to get art credit and pick up your Yale degree, without actually doing anything.

I heard this on the radio this morning and knew/strongly suspected it was a farce for biological reasons.
After a miscarriage, it often takes months to get your system back on schedule; several pregnancies in 9 months would seem to be an impossibility in my experience.
Did you see this? I’m glad it was a hoax. When I went to the link you gave me I was so upset...just thinking how far down we have descended. And although I am relieved that this did not happen (although who really knows?) it’s unsettling to know that people actually read her submission and took it seriously and APPROVED. What’s happened to us? That’s a rhetorical question. sigh.
I am sure this “artist” got a A from her prof., and the art world is praising her for her “courage” and “edginess”. Just another example why I do not pay any attention to art if its been produced since 1945.
