"Brownback, a devout Catholic, did not want a high profile fight over the resolution"

Reminds me of that scene in the movie Rudy where the coach yells at a player "you just summed up your entire sorry career in one sentence".

So, Pelousy just admitted that the unborn are live humans.

Why do politicians in DC always work so hard to show you can’t work as a politician in DC for a career unless you have a brainectomy?

Brownback, a devout Catholic, did not want a high profile fight over the resolution ...

Add that to the already long list of reasons why this guy shouldn't be President. If he isn't willing to fight the Democrats on this issue, what makes anyone think he'd fight our other enemies who are not so nice?

This is the kind of BS that makes me want to quit the GOP altogether. Why don't our elected officials have any backbone? We could have easily spun this to make the Democrats look more anti-Catholic than they already are. But yet again, another wimp decides to run away from a fight.

I don’t fault Brownback. It wouldn’t really have accomplished anything to have a political food fight over the Pope’s visit, which he couldn’t win. And it’s not as if people aren’t already aware that there’s a fight over abortion in our country, and which side the two parties are on.

It was a fine resolution, which I posted on an earlier version of this thread, and still had some very good stuff in it that the Dems must have gritted their teeth over before passing it.

But Barbara Boxer is a scum.

Can we just repost this line in every response to this thread? Its soooooo perfect:

He sure could have made them try to explain why they objected to the “life” language, made them get on record about it.

There’s already a transcript on the record with Feinstein or Boxer saying that a baby isn’t human until the parents take it home from the hospital.

Fixed.

Does anyone know if Nancy “Pro-abort” Pelosi was present at today’s Mass at Nationals Stadium?

I believe her office stated this week that she planned to receive Communion.

Good heavens, Senator, leave it in there and have the dog-gone fight, will you!? Aren’t the unborn worth it?

Interesting according the EWTN's schedule they are suppose to be showing B16 meeting with teachers at Catholic Univeristy.

Maybe after this mornings Mass, he wants to chat with them behind closed doors.

If Brownback had any stones at all, he would immediately introduce the ‘Barbara Boxer Equal Opportunity Infanticide Act’, and bellow into every microphone and camera he can find that since Barbara Boxer likes the idea of murdering unborn children, that she ought to have the courage of her convictions and become the sponsor of his proposed legislation.
