Beginning next Tuesday, Yale senior Shvarts will be displaying her senior art project, a documentation of a nine-month process during which she artificially inseminated herself ?as often as possible? while periodically taking abortifacient drugs to induce miscarriages

I’m having a really hard time coming up with words for the horror that I’m filled with. I cannot comprehend such evil and disgust.

From the article:
“I believe strongly that art should be a medium for politics and ideologies, not just a commodity,” Shvarts said. “I think that I’m creating a project that lives up to the standard of what art is supposed to be.”

Why can’t art just be beautiful paintings, etc.? Why does it have to be political? My daughter is showing an interest in art and I want to encourage her in her talents. However, when I see stuff like this I think maybe I should steer her in a different direction. Ugh! It’s so disgusting!

Demonic is a good word.

But, it would be nice to have a word that includes both the idea personal responsibility AND that of an utterly insane act.

Depravity gets close.

This could easily be a pro-lifer trying to make an extremely disgusting point.

Most Universities won't even allow pictures of cut up abortion-mill fetuses on their streets.

On second thought...it's a leftist...different rules and all.

Time for all the pro-lifers to take a little trip to Yale with some photos?

Gotta correct myself - the pictures I’ve seen wasn’t from the exhibit, and I apologize for the error.

Nevertheless, people who support abortion have no clue as to what it entails - or that the “lump of cells” are actually tiny hands and feet. This Ivy-League “educated” thing has no claim on her humanity.

Anyone still believes that Roe v. Wade is ‘settled law”?

Until society has the will to promptly dispatch Hot Intracerebral Lead, in order to eliminate this disease of culture, the current trajectory will continue towards absolute destruction.

Have a clean, new canvas on the opposite side of firing, but outside of the bullet trajectory, to catch blood and brain splatter. You'd be able to see the result at Manhattan's finest galleries.

And I do maintain that this woman has to be a Hillary supporter.

The mentality of those who brought us the holocaust is still alive and living, ironically, in the cold black heart of this young Jewish girl, who undoubtedly has relatives who were murdered by the black hearted Nazis.

And you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that this is being passed all around the Arab and Muslim worlds to underscore just how depraved America and Western civilization really are.

Doesn’t “Shvart” mean when a person thinks they are experiencing flatulence, but have in fact, defecated themselves? Sounds so appropos in this case. What a dingbat. I wonder what she has planned for after graduation.

You just made a very good point as to why this blasphemy must never be allowed to be publicly displayed.

Are there any Freepers in Connecticut or New England who are willing to literally stand in the gap and close this monstrosity down before Tuesday.

a gross little hoax

I've read, elsewhere, that the blood used in her "art" is, probably, menstrual blood rather than from an abortive process (ie a hoax). I certainly hope that is the case, it's still disgusting but, at least, it didn't take several lives.

It's sickening to see how far liberalism has taken us and it's impacts on the sanctity of life.

That photo you posted of the "artist," Aliza Shvarts, was taken during something called "Soapbox Event" at Federal Hall National Memorial in NYC, on April 5, 2008. More on that Pia Lindman production here.

This You Tube video link will give you a glimpse into the mind of the young Frankenstein named Aliza Shvarts.

The second video of the "Soapbox Event," featuring a few other speakers is also interesting. In this one, a man identifies himself as an Army Vet from Iraq. He tells his story about helping free the Iraqi people, building schools, etc., and he is booed by some of the Yalies.

Yale is one effed-up school.

Yale College was founded in 1701, by ten Congregational ministers. The General Court, ..... declared it to be an institution where:
“Youth may be instructed in the Arts and
Sciences who through the blessing of the Almighty God may be fitted for Publick employment both in Church and Civil State.”
Yale has come a long way (the wrong way) from the purposes of its founders!
My prayer: “Our God will turn us back, before we start eating our offspring.” (It has happened).

In this post at The Corner, Yuval Levin brings up an interesting point:

Color me dubious about the Yale art project story. In talking to a few knowledgeable docs this morning, the facts don’t add up very well. Self-insemination of the sort she seems to be claiming is no easy feat, and “herbal” abortifacients are extremely dangerous and not at all reliably effective. It’s highly unlikely that these two improbable elements would both be carried off successfully multiple times, and with no side effects. It’s more likely that her senior art project is to see how many people she can upset with a hoax.

If it’s a hoax, it’s an abhorrent and disgusting one. If it turns out to be true, it’s of course all the more so and far worse. Either way, where are the adults at Yale?

She's probably pulling off a hoax, but the fact that she'd even pretend to do this is sick and evil on its own.

As I thought more about this I also realized that Jewish leaders must also be adamant and unequivocal in their condemnation of what Miss Shvarts has done. For anti-Semites are going to hold this up as an example of Jewish depravity. Would that be unfair? You bet. But, it's going to happen.

And, although Miss Shvarts said she didn't want to create controversy, how many of our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan will die at the hands of Islamo-terrorists inspired to resist the encroachment of a western civilization so depraved that young girls from among its most priveleged sectors of society create abominations like this?

Yes, no doubt, Miss Shvarts and her art are going to be major topics for discussion in places as diverse as New Haven, Manhattan, Paris, Riyadh, Kabul, Baghdad, The Gaza Strip and Teheran.

As I've said, she's going to set up unquenchable firestorms among anti-semites, Islamo-fascists and haters of America around the world.

Even if what she did was a hoax, this self-centered twit is going to create an explosion even she couldn't have imagined.

What amzaes me is how little they value something like life, it’s like some mental disorder or beyond ammoralism to simple sadistic nihilism.

Perhaps my feelings are misplaced, but I think that Yale University, and the student’s adviser, are more culpable than the student. How did they manage to approve and encourage this half witted and evil project?

Honestly, I came back to this thread here at 2:30 in the afternoon fully expecting to see that the President of Yale had announced that the girl was expelled and the adviser was fired. Naive again.
