CNN’s Toobin, Cafferty: Obama’s ‘Bitter’ Comments ‘Factually Accurate’

CNN’s senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, during a discussion on Friday’s "The Situation Room," defended Barack Obama’s comments, that small-town voters are often "bitter" and they "cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them," and blasted Hillary Clinton for her criticism of the comments. "I think that is so ridiculous.... I mean that is not at all what Barack Obama said.... I mean Hillary Clinton is clearly distorting what Obama said. And, by the way, what Obama said is factually accurate." Jack Cafferty, a regular contributor to "The Situation Room," agree with Toobin, and went further. "Look, Jeff's right. They call it the 'Rust Belt' for a reason.... The people are frustrated. The people have no economic opportunity. What happens to folks like that in the Middle East, you ask? Well, take a look. They go to places like al Qaeda training camps. I mean there's nothing new here."

The Drive-By Democrat Media's view of America in a nutshell.

It's broader than that - it's the urban coastal view of flyover country in general.

Well, there you have it. They are showing their colors and they are the same exact hue as Obama's. Non-concealed contempt and hate for fly-over, everyday Americans who actually make this country work, even in hard times. Who have faith in God and a solid understanding of their rights, which these elitist powermongers and arrogant bastards hold in abject contempt.

Our forefathers were ultimatly forced to show exactly how to handle the same type of arrogance in their day. These people should turn to God themselves and pray that they do not force Americans to that same point in today's world.

Cafferty is factually accurate, too. For once he is right, lumping McInsane together with Bush and other foolish old Republicans who promoted the counterproductive Iraq misadventure.

cafferty should know, he is a bitter bitter liberal. Pick up his book (don’t buy it) it’s filled with hate of republicans right down to the four letter words.

In the book “The Ghost Soldiers”, which is about a Japanese POW camp in the Phillipines in WWII, the author opines that the survival rate in these camps was higher than it might have been because so many GI’s were from rural America. These kids could build a trap and skin a rat and find protein sources that the city boys would have overlooked. Audie Murphy learned to shoot a rifle hunting squirrels in rural Texas. When it comes to Liberals, my tag line says it all.

“Jack Cafferty is the older, even uglier 1970’s version of Keith Olberman. He was a reporter on WHO-TV in Des Moines back in the 70’s and was already a souse and a loudmouth then.”

I think Cafferty is an example of whats called a “dry drunk.” Someone who has quit drinking, but still has hatred and loathing of everything, including themselves.

I don`t think people who lived in the Great Depression of the 1930`s turned to or formed terrorist groups like al-Qaeda, but Cafferty thinks the “typical white folks” who live in “flyover” country will do just that.

Counterproductive to whom?

Urban blacks in Jerry Wright’s congregation are bitter and cling to racism, their form of religion. They don’t like people different from them. That is a fact; just look at the dork’s sermons.
OTOH, O is just projecting without factual basis. To suggest that religiosity and gun ownership and respect for borders is a recent (within the last 25 years) development is light years past stupid.
Obviously, lot’s of us are bitter about lot’s of things. Shipping my job to Lucknow, India would make me bitter.
BFD.
“Bitterness” was not O’s mistake. It was his gratuitous display of breath-taking ignorance of American history and ridiculing the people whose vote he covets.
Annie Rodham Oakley is such a puke inducer giving every reason to justify gun ownership but the two paramount reasons: 1. to keep the federal government under some control; and 2. to defend yourself and your family and your property.

Well it explains why they don't want to fight a war on terrorism in Iraq..they consider fly over county home grown terrorist land.

There will come a day when the weasels will be running from the terrorist they have imported and allowed to invade.

Then it will be the ugly bitter backbone of America, they will seek for defense and shelter.

Counterproductive to Saddam Hussein and his suicide bombers for cash program (As seen on ‘60 Minutes’)/oil $$$ for food/UN violations for kicks and giggles plus a whole host of other wacky schemes that armed forces of several nations from the free world put a stop to.

Oh! Goody! The MSM has forsaken being the buttboys and girls for the Clintons (e.g., a BJ isn’t sex) and now have transferred that “willing suspension of disbelief” to Obama....well, we should all be just ducky now...

If the economy doesn't turn around, meaning the middle class working person who isn't able to go to college can't get a decent job, cities will burn.

Toobin and Cafferty should apologize to all the people they have just insulted. Factually accurate, indeed! How do they get away with such a stupid generalization?

Regarding most of the people in the mainstream media, they are Democrats, so there’s no distinction.

“DON’T WATCH CNN! Problem solved :).”

Some of CNN is tolerable. Lou Dobbs and most of his guests are tearing Obama apart for his inane remarks. lol

Counterproductive to whom?

Counterproductive in the sense that war only begets more war. There is no end game in sight, no clearly stated objective at the start of the occupation.

Also not productive to 4000 needlessly dead American soldiers, 700,000 dead Iraqis, and millions more displaced from their homes as a result of Bush-sponsored ethnic cleansing.
