VALPARAISO, Indiana (CNN) Hillary Clinton appealed to Second Amendment supporters on Saturday by hinting that she has some experience of her own pulling triggers.
I disagree with Sen. Obamas assertion that people in our country cling to guns and have certain attitudes about trade and immigration simply out of frustration, she began, referring to the Obama comments on small-town Americans that set off a political tumult on Friday.
She then introduced a fond memory from her youth.
You know, my dad took me out behind the cottage that my grandfather built on a little lake called Lake Winola outside of Scranton and taught be how to shoot when I was a little girl, she said.

Of course, the only problem with her story is that her lips were moving as she told it.
Another invented memory I’d guess.
I’ll bet you could hand her any firearm with an empty chamber and she’d be unable to get a round off.
LOL...next week she’ll be telling us that she returned sniper fire in Bosnia. The woman and her skunk of a HINO have no shame.
Nah, this experience served her well when Vince foster needed plugging and Ron Brown’s skull needed ventilation.
Would love to ask her opinion about the use of (firearms) force by citizens to insure that government is kept in check and if not successful, to insure that any yoke of oppression is thrown off, just as the funders did in circa 1774....
Ya think she would agree?
God Bless
MOLON LABE
It’s a good thing she had that gun training when she was under fire in Bosnia. When she was a little girl her father used to fire his pistol between her feet and make her do a little dance.
Yes, she’s a duck hunter. And once in the 90s she had to respond to sniper fire.
Duck hunting?!
Ha!
Just like Bill, somebody else bags ‘em and he comes out into the clearing carrying them, as though he shot them.
If she goes back far enough in her history...we'll never be able to check the story. Someone needs to find out when Grandpa died.
Little girl implies 7, maybe 8 years old....and I don't know any grandfather who would let a kid handle a gun at that age...She wasn't exactly living in the west.
Need a little family search here.
You beat me by one response Cicero. Well-done!
Vince Foster?
“Ill bet you could hand her any firearm with an empty chamber and shed be unable to get a round off.”
Well.....on second thought.....there was that Vince fellow....
“Little girl implies 7, maybe 8 years old....and I don’t know any grandfather who would let a kid handle a gun at that age”
that would be news to any number of grandpas around here.
This explains Vince Foster...
Oh Oh, her father took her out behind the cottage?
What did they do behind the cottage....Hmmmm Oprah might
say there could be some repressed emotions going on her...LOL
My 6 yr old is a great shot for his age. He started learning shortly after turning 5
Mine learned with an air rifle at age 9 - so not so unusual. However, since her lips were moving as she told the story there’s an even chance she “misremembers” something.
Thousands of hours in woods, marshes, lakes and streams, not to mention oceans and seas of the earth have taught me not to be impressed with plinking behind cottages.
