Comedian Garrett Morris to Join Obama Campaign

Saturday Night Live alumnus, Garrett Morris, has announced he will join the Barack Obama Presidential campaign. Morris, best known for his work during the early years of the popular, avant guard late night comedy show, will appear in an oval on the left hand side of the TV screen of every Barack and Michelle Obama speech. His primary duties will be to "interpret" what the presidential candidate and his wife "really mean" when they say something that might be considered a tad bit outrageous or just downright wacky.

I remember the skit where Julian Bond explained to Garrett that lighter skinned blacks like himself were superior to darker ones like Morris.

The one thing that Garret Morris did on SNL that really sticks out in my mind was the time he sang an opera piece. What a voice. Is he still around? I seem to recall that he had a really bad accident a few years back.
