If you hadn't told me, I'd have never guessed that was Cal Thomas, who in that pic looks more like a conservative Liberace.
The White House on Friday said a Senate bill that would grant legal status to illegal immigrants is analogous to a traffic law that allows a speeder to pay a fine and continue driving.
If you had a traffic ticket and you paid it, youre not forever a speeder, are you? White House Press Secretary Tony Snow said in response to questions from The Examiner.
So the fact is, you have paid your debt to society, he added. And we have come up with a way to make sure that the debt to society gets paid. Then you move forward.

This is not the only picture of “Jeff Gannon” that has been posted on the Internet.
...and doing a great job. Thanks
I really hope that I can keep going.
One more anecdote, I have another picture of me and Tony which I did not post.
Nothing particularly unusual about that, for some reason, I have a number of pictures of me and Tony.
What was cool, was the person who took that photo. I didn't know at the time, but it was T. Boone Pickens, most recently noted for offering John Kerry a million dollars if he could prove any of the Swift Vets charges false.
Sometimes you can take the measure of a man by the little things that he does, like taking for photo for a total stranger without even a hint of "Do you know who I am". (I didn't).
He was there, doing what billionaires do, giving away money.
On the serious side, the MRC did a segment on the life and death of a recent Metal of Honor winner Lt. Michael Patrick Murphy and Mr Pickens was there to donate $100,000 to the Metal of Honor Foundation.
After seeing this tribute he decided that he had left a zero off the check, and right then and there, rewrote it for $1,000,000
Like I said, its the little things.

I really should get a better camera.
But he did look quite different, even in person, and it wasn’t just the mustache. He looked much younger.
T. Boone Pickens is a good man.
Now I can say that with even more confidence.

He was still a nice guy.
I guess the good news was, “I knew who he was”.
The bad news was, “I knew who he was”.
Nevertheless, had he been a liberal he would have received a diversity award.
If you want on, or off, the Tony Snow ping list, please FReepMail dinasour.
Dinasour, I don't know you, but I want to thank you for this positive report and for all that you do.
Thank you, dinasour!! Omigosh—Tony looks so terrific! If I were his wife I’d have a sign saying “Keep your hands off, he’s mine, ladies!! :)
He is always so upbeat. The crowd didn’t sound very enthusiastic. Is that because of the sound—or are they very old and can’t clap hard—or maybe they just can’t match Tony’s mood.
This one’s a keeper!
*THUD*
Great pictures of all of them....but this is THE one!
Tony....congrats....and you look fantastic!
I wish I could have been there!
Love that beautiful smile of Tony’s. He is a GREAT American!
> but this is THE one!
Thanks. I spent a good bit of the evening on the floor in front of the stage.
Here, I was taking the “group shot”, above.
On a lark, I just swiveled around and took that one.
Awesome! Did he know who you were....or did you get to introduce yourself to him?
I am sure he appreciates all that you do around here to keep
us informed of what/how he is doing!
> Did he know who you were....
Oh yes, he knew who I am.
I didn’t spent a lot of time talking to him, not wanting to intrude any more than I was.
> but I want to thank you for this positive report
Sure. This is the Tony Snow thread. Nattering Neybobs of Negativity are discouraged.
I am so happy for you that you got to talk to him.
I hope some day he’ll come to West Texas so I can meet him, too!
I am listening to his speech...yes, it is the best and most
optimistic speech I have heard in a long time.
We NEED Tony!
We need a Snow/Levin ticket. I am so happy to see Tony looking and sounding so well. God Bless you Tony.
