EAU CLAIRE, Wis A middle school principal says he made "an error in judgment" last week by not more fully discussing a teacher's plan to tell seventh-grade students her sexual orientation during health classes.
South Middle School Principal John Wallace said in a letter to parents of about 125 students in Stephanie Rowe's health classes that parents send their children to school each day "trusting that we as their educators will make the best decisions as to how to instruct and care for them."
"On certain occasions, however, a decision is made that is clearly not in the best interest of the students and their guardians whom we serve," Wallace wrote.
The principal said Rowe told him she planned to tell her seventh-grade health students that day that she is gay. She told him the question concerning her sexual orientation has come up for years during the question-and-answer day that is included in the human growth and development unit.

She should just say the issue is not open for discussion because what goes on in the privacy of one’s home is nobody else’s business.
The kids must suspect something, or they wouldn’t be asking.
When you have to “announce” it.....we know what your sexuality is.....
It’s the activist group that won’t shut up.
Lawrence v. Texas was neither about actions in PRIVATE nor about “consenting adults”. It was about norming abnormal sexual relations.
What a flaming twit.
All the more reason that, when it comes to school, there’s no place like home.
I have never announced that I am straight to any class.
nough said!
It’s good that you didn’t need to.
What does a gay teacher know about healthy human growth and development?
The main reason “they” come out is to recruit!
recreational sex is not a discussion for students.
This female’s plan to discuss her means of orgasm has no place in front of children. All homosexual discussion is purient at best if not in the context of heath and death that associates with the lifestyle choice.
BINGO!
She was trying to recruit and self validate herself as normal.
I think we need to go back to children and homosexuals do not mix.
Good point. All homosexual sex is recreational sex.
Not to say that heterosexual people don’t have recreational sex, but, the point about sex education in schools is to teach students about the reproductive system. Homosexuality by definition should be excluded, since it has nothing to do with the reproductive functioning that we’re supposedly wanting to teach the young people about. If we’re trying to teach them what their bodies do and how they function, only the small gay minority would feel their self-esteem is hurt by teaching the biological functioning of sex.
In 17 years of schooling, I never had any teacher discuss his sexual orientation with me.
I do recall having a female coach as a health teacher, and I was relatively certain she was a lesbian. She was a good teacher, we got along well, and we never saw the need to discuss her sexuality.
Meanwhile, ‘developing’ countries like India and China are eating our kids’ lunch academically because they stick to the basics. Homosexuals have to recruit young adolescents because theirs is a disorder of narcissistic immaturity and lack of self control, which is a stage teens go through. Oh, and if they’re born that way, why the need to recruit? You cannot ‘train’ someone to be gay. Can you?
It was loooong after seventh grade that I had ANY interest in any instructor’s (TA) sex life; and the only ‘orientation’ I was interested in was “over or under”.
This teacher should keep it between herself, her partner, and Satan; and leave her students out of it.

Homosexuals are seriously infiltration the government schools. Expect this type of incident to increase.
Remember: Homosexuals hire other homosexuals.
