SAN ANGELO, Texas — Teenage girls, often younger than 16, were required to have sex in the soaring white temple after they were married in sect-recognized unions at a polygamist compound in West Texas, according to court documents unsealed Wednesday.
The temple "contains an area where there is a bed where males over the age of 17 engage in sexual activity with female children under the age of 17," said an affidavit quoting a confidential informant who left the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why? Most peole realize that this is a fringe cult. If we think kids are being abused..let’s check it out. If no evidence found then the state owes a big apology to these people. If even a part of it is true though...they need to be rounded , thrown in jail and this compound disbanded.

This is legal in this state provided that they are within the “Romeo & Juliet” exception to our statutory rape laws.
Which is why the way there is too much “wiggle room” in the notion of “age of consent” laws is balderdash.
No 20 year old who tries to buy a beer or 21 year old who gives a 20 year a beer is shown “nearly legal” release from prosecution.

The naming of multiple mothers is actually not that surprising. First, the children are generally expected to view all of the “sister wives” as mothers. Second, I would not at all be shocked to find that some fathers placed babies born to the young wives with older wives in an effort to shield themselves from statutory rape cases.
