There are literally millions of Americans who want to throw themselves, and the rest of us, off a cliff and into an abyss of legalized bestiality, polygamy, homosexuality, incest, necrophilia, and every other type of perversion you can imagine (and even those you cannot).
If anyone does not believe this, they are not even reading the evening news.
