< snip > Now, however, an eyewitness has stepped forward. Amanda Getz of Bloomington is a substitute teacher. She worked as a substitute in two fifth-grade classrooms at TIZA on Friday, March 14. Her experience suggests that school-sponsored religious activity plays an integral role at TIZA.
Arriving on a Friday, the Muslim holy day, she says she was told that the day's schedule included a "school assembly" in the gym after lunch.
Before the assembly, she says she was told, her duties would include taking her fifth-grade students to the bathroom, four at a time, to perform "their ritual washing."
Afterward, Getz said, "teachers led the kids into the gym, where a man dressed in white with a white cap, who had been at the school all day," was preparing to lead prayer. Beside him, another man "was prostrating himself in prayer on a carpet as the students entered."
"The prayer I saw was not voluntary," Getz said. "The kids were corralled by adults and required to go to the assembly where prayer occurred."

Separate, and unequal. Brought to you by Liberals!
He wasn't down in the basement cafeteria drinking coffee for the past 5 1/2 hours, was he?
And to think that four words will absolutely throw them into a tizzy, “In Jesus name, Amen!”
Minnesota is filled with liberal ostriches.
So what’s the problem.
There is nothing in the constitution on the separation of mosque and state.
There’s nothing in the Constitution on the separation of church and state, either.
Islam isn’t a religion or a church. It’s a political party.
Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA) named for the Muslim general who conquered medieval Spain is a K-8 charter school in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. TIZA is a public school financed by Minnesota taxpayers.
The school is run by a Muslim Brotherhood Front, Muslim American Society (MAS-MN), recently listed a co-conspirator in the Federal Dallas Holy Land Foundation trial of last fall.
TIZAs strong religious connections date from its founding in 2003. Its co-founders, Zaman and Hesham Hussein, were both imams, or Muslim religious leaders, as well as leaders of the Muslim American Society of Minnesota (MAS-MN).
Since then, they have played dual roles: Zaman as TIZAs principal and the current vice-president of MAS-MN, and Hussein as TIZAs school board chair and president of MAS-MN until his death in a car accident in Saudi Arabia in January.
This is quite a good article. I fear for the safety of the “whistle-blowing” sub teacher and the author.
Militant
Here is the separation of Church and State that the Founding Fathers intended.
Gee, I wonder why we haven’t heard from the ACLU on this? Hm?
They are once again, hijacking your state! :(
KATHERINE KERSTEN better watch out. She may be ticking off the wrong people... The muzzies know how to deal with those who oppose them...
I think it’s a violent cult. I’m a libertarian but Islam is testing my thoughts about religious freedom. Such as their honor killings, and having duties to lie to and kill infidels. The infection of dhimmitude into political correctness greatly galls me.
Try “with involuntary prayers” in your first sentence.
How can a Muslim school even be a public skrool?
“Before the assembly, she says she was told, her duties would include taking her fifth-grade students to the bathroom, four at a time, to perform “their ritual washing.”
Maybe that’s what Mr Wide-Stance was doing in the airport bathroom .....
