Teacher breaks wall of silence at state's Muslim public school

< snip > Now, however, an eyewitness has stepped forward. Amanda Getz of Bloomington is a substitute teacher. She worked as a substitute in two fifth-grade classrooms at TIZA on Friday, March 14. Her experience suggests that school-sponsored religious activity plays an integral role at TIZA.

Arriving on a Friday, the Muslim holy day, she says she was told that the day's schedule included a "school assembly" in the gym after lunch.

Before the assembly, she says she was told, her duties would include taking her fifth-grade students to the bathroom, four at a time, to perform "their ritual washing."

Afterward, Getz said, "teachers led the kids into the gym, where a man dressed in white with a white cap, who had been at the school all day," was preparing to lead prayer. Beside him, another man "was prostrating himself in prayer on a carpet as the students entered."

"The prayer I saw was not voluntary," Getz said. "The kids were corralled by adults and required to go to the assembly where prayer occurred."

We need to bombard the ACLU publicly and privately to put up or shut up on this.

These weren’t “Christian” prayers, so no problem and no word from the ACLU.

"There’s nothing in the Constitution about the separation of church and state."

Exactly.

And we need to say that at every opportunity. Educate (the brainwashed masses):

"First thought of First Ammendment... no law establishing religion" (establishment clause)
"Second thought of First Ammendment... no law prohibiting free exercise of religion." (free exercise clause)

THEN come speech, press assembly, petition, and the rest of it. (LOL)

God is Good (all the time)

There’s one of these charter schools in Rochester (MN) to. Evidently the little Somalis weren’t doing to well in school because they were being teased and stuff because of their dress and beliefs (or some such crap). They were being corrupted.

So someone applied for a charter, now this school is muslim but ‘does’ allow for others to enroll. (yeah right) . What PO’s me is it is a religious school you can’t tell me it’s not. If the Catholics and other Christian schools don’t get any support from the state then these schools shouldn’t either. Oh and this school in Rochester is located in an old church building.

This Muslim school is a disgrace to the entire state of Minnesota, and whichever school district funds it.

Any public official who participated in approving it should be impeached from office for flagrantly violating the Constitution of the United States.

The school should be shut down immediately and the building either converted into a public facility that meets constitutional standards or sold!
