NEW BEDFORD, Mass. - Illegal immigrants living in New Bedford and Fall River said they're scared to cross into Rhode Island, following Gov. Don Carcieri's enforcement of immigration laws.
Under the governor's executive order, Rhode Island State Police have been directed to process immigrants, which could fast track an illegal immigrant's deportation.
"Instead of taking a look at the problem, which is a political problem around immigration, having these kinds of executive orders by scapegoating the immigrants just drives more people underground and creates a climate of more fear," said Corinn Williams, who works with immigrants in New Bedford.
Advocates worry that stepped-up environment will keep immigrants from reporting crimes.

They work at the companies owned by the mob in Fall River and surrounds. A bunch of low life employers taking full advantage of their employees’ illegal status to keep them scared and working for scraps. They’re better off out of this country, but probably can’t afford the ticket home.

We also need to create the “climate of fear” for the slimy employers too.

I think miss williams is just upset that those illegal aliens are going to have to remain in that cesspool called New Bedford. the Govenor of RI is simply enforcing the law. these illegals know they are breaking the law and therefore should be punished. it’s about time the free ride for these people ended.
