Excellent Video:
Think of the Katangese as Israel, and Patrice Lumumba and the Central Congolese government as the PLO/PA/HAMAS. The UN, of course, plays the same role as ever...to bring about a world government dominated by socialists and communists.
Description:
UN troops wage an unprovoked war against anti-communist Katanga in 1960 and 1962.
The last bastion of the free market in the Congo was decimated by UN forces in 1963 to bring it under Congolese communist control.
If you don't want to watch the entire thing (an early 1960's documentary), fast forward to the end where Katanga's ill-fated and heroic President, Moise Tshombe, speaks for his people as a proud countryman and individualist.

Is this Rashomon, redux? I have seen and have the movie: Lumumba and the Book: The Assasination of Lumumba by Ludo De Witte and the views are completely the opposite. Exactly, who is the standard bearer of truth in this matter?/Just Asking - seoul62..........
Wild Geese
If you are running into conflicting information, I suggest you pursue the matter further. You may wish to start with “Fearful Master,” by G. Edward Griffin.

Shortly after the film was made, the UN withdrew from the Congo after running out of money, and Tshombe became the country’s premier. However, he was treated as a pariah by Africa’s left-wing establishment, who considered him an agent of “neocolonialists.” In 1964, when he flew to Egypt to attend the Cairo Conference of Nonaligned Nations, Egypt’s president Gamal Abdel Nasser placed him under house arrest for the duration of the conference.
In 1965, Tshombe was overthrown in a coup d’etat led by “Diamond Joe” Mobutu, who set up a kleptocracy that ruled for more than three decades. Meanwhile, in 1967, a plane carrying Tshombe was hijacked to Algiers, where he was imprisoned by the left-wing dictatorship of Houari Boumédienne. He died there two years later.
Excellent postscript. Thanks you.
People just don’t realize how dangerous Obambi is. He is an admitted marxist who supports tyrants the world over, some of whom are his relatives. Indeed, rather than confront these evil monsters, Obambi proposes to dialogue with them.

He will do much more than that. He is already on record supporting Raila Odinga (his Islamo-Marxist cousin), has called for the US to bomb fragile Pakistan, incited revolution on behalf of the Saul Alinsky brigades in Chicago, for 20 years attended a hate-America church that honors the likes of Louis Farrakhan and Moammar Gaddafi, etc, etc. The one thing Obama won’t be is passive.
There should be a lot of useful material in Obama’s first book. I haven’t read it but have taken a look at it in a bookstore. The guy in New York City, Kaufman, who recruited him to be a community organizer in Chicago liked his “anger.” Earlier, when he was in high school, he wanted to punch out a white classmate for a comment that most people would consider innocuous, even enlightened.
Thanks for the ping!
Great find...Thank you!
