I don’t know...the CNN caption says: “Businesswomen in Japan pay up to $50,000 a night for male companionship from “hosts” like Yunosuke.” And the article mentions that he makes enough to “get his hair styled and blow-dried.” So I figure that must be him.

A host is a completely different gig. Usually a host makes the most money by *not* putting out. That's how you get the client to come back, the expectation of something more.

Ok. I really don't think that puts the "host" in a better light (a prostitute that only puts out sometimes???) but to each his own.

Let me explain it to you in simple terms snoogums. A host is not a prostitute. A host gets to choose when and if he gets sexually involved with a client. A whore gets paid for a sexual service; a host for the company.

My friend chose the time, place and manner of his encounters. Most of which were with women that the men here would salivate over.

If he looked like Ken Watanabe, maybe I could see it. Frankly, I’ll be damned if I waste my time and money on a “guy” that isn’t.....”He” is reminiscent of the eunuchs of the eastern courts who spent time in the harems...

My husband, a 6’4” VERY muscular, masculine guy, gets hit on by Japanese women every time he’s in Tokyo..... “Big man......many muscles.....” they say........maybe guys like this is the reason why.....

Folks, I hate to break it to you, but the photo is of the Japanese businesswoman who hires a male geisha.

That's what I thought, but then I read the caption. Perhaps it is just poor caption writing that is to blame.

At any rate. . .whew! I was trying to figure out what any woman would see in a man that looked like that.

I did. And the first word under the picture is "Businesswomen", indicating to me that the picture is of a typical Japanese businesswoman. Here is the complete caption:
