That is why I was asking when no one was practicing polygamy, you then cut out the prior postings (losing context IMHO on purpose) and take a different tack, namely the everybody's doing it ploy.

You don't seem to argue with a point in mind you attempt to beat people to death with large posts, and ugly tactics, I've read your post, your are still wrong, all you seem to care about is dragging Joseph Smith through the mud, even if it's not valid. All your posts seem to center on him, not on the topic at hand. I am refuting without listing your mistakes and moving on to shorter posts, yours just take to much time for an amateur (someone who is not paid to bash) posters to tackle on a daily basis.

See #3 above - poor joey. One issue that comes to mind when mormonism is mentioned - polygamy, and who is the originator of polygamy in the mormon church - you guessed it - joey. Thats right sports fans, this epitome of every thing good was in reality an abuser of women, as well as the members of mormonism. The impeachable prophet is shown to be what he really is - a debase, power hungry pervert who gives the members one word from god - polygamy is not allowed and we follow the law - while out the other side of his mouth he is coercing parents to give him their daughters to bed/wed. It is valid to point out his lusts, "marriage" to dozens of girls and women, the absolute fallacies and ridiculous claims he made, and the inconsistencies with Mormonism.

Moreover, God's word commands us to do just this.

The problem you have DU is that if you accept those facts and truths, the whole shebang you have based your faith on comes crashing down.

I have a question. Since you mormons believe that the "gospel" was removed from the earth and had to be "restored", why do you keep defending polygamy (AND by association the FLDS) by saying all these old-testament men practiced it, so it's "Biblical" and therefore justified?

Sounds to me, from your argument, like Joseph Smith arranged for the "restoration" of just the parts HE liked best, the ones that gave him power, money (tithing) and women.
