The Democratic Tribes at War (Al Gore should drop out of the race)

Exit polls have shown that the contest between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama has produced deep divisions among Democratic constituencies. It looks something like tribal warfare. Whites have voted, if you average the results from the states, 53 percent to 39 percent for Clinton; blacks, 80 percent to 17 percent for Obama; Latinos, 58 percent to 39 percent for Clinton; Asians, in California (the one primary state where they're numerous enough to gauge), 71 percent to 25 percent for Clinton. Continues...

=================================================================

Al Gore should drop out of the race

According to one poll, 22 percent of Democrat voters want Hillary to drop out. The same poll shows 22 percent of Democrat voters want Obama to drop out -- and these may be the same Democrat voters!

The party's honchos spent all of last week trying to get Hillary to drop out -- especially before she sweeps Pennsylvania. They flogged for days the Bosnia story, complete with video showing Hillary did not have a corkscrew landing in Tuzla under a haze of sniper fire from Jeremiah Wright. Across America, voters were staggering in the streets in shock from the revelation that Sen. Edmund Hillary would lie.

To woo Democrat voters, Hillary and Obama are fighting to see who could be the bigger liar, with Obama trying to edge Hillary by lying about how much cash indicted Antoin Rezko bundled for him, lying that he was conceived as a result of the Selma march four years before the Selma march, even lying that the Kennedy family paid to airlift his father from Kenya a year after his father's airlift from Kenya. He also lied when he claimed he "never saw or approved" a questionnaire from an Illinois voter group back in 1996 in which he answered 'YES' to whether or not he supports legislation to "ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns." It turns out he was interviewed in person and had sent the group an amended copy with his own handwritten notes. He even lied to his own book -- making up names and characters in Dreams of My Father "for the sake of compression." Now he says that he didn't quit his church after 20 years of sitting in its pews because he knew Jeremiah Wright was retiring this year. Another year of this, and I'm gone!

So, with Obama and Hillary now enjoying sky-high negatives in almost every poll, the nut that Democrats put in charge of the DNC -- Howard Dean -- says his solution is to bring the party bloodbath to an end about three months from now. According to Dean, all will be well if the party's 800 super-apparatchiks select a candidate by July 1, meaning we'll know months from now who the nominee will be, just weeks in advance of the convention. Have a vote before the convention, which is the purpose of the convention. In line with Democrat tradition, Dean has no way to enforce it.

"I think that there's 800 of them and 450 of them have already said who they're for" and "I'd like the other 350 to say who they're [for] at some point between now and the first of July so we don't have to take this into the convention," Dr. Demento told CBS.

But Hillary is having none of it! She vows to soldier on despite Obama groupie Pat Leahy's disapproval. Hillary told ABC News that "we need to let this contest continue. I know there are some people who want to shut this process down, and I think they are wrong and I have no intention of stopping until we finish what we started, and until we see what happens in the next 10 contests, and until we resolve Florida and Michigan" and "if we don't resolve it, we resolve it at the convention" in Denver, where Hillary's plane will do a corkscrew landing under a blaze of sniper fire from O'Leahy, O'Dean, O'Pelosi, O'Reid, etc.

Being good sports, the Obamatistas urge Hillary to drop out now, or else she'll win big in Pennsylvania. But if Hillary wins big in Pennsylvania and many of the coming contests, she'll bag the popular vote, so some would say Obama should drop out. With Obama ahead in the delegate count, Hillary should drop out. With Hillary having won the big states with 263 electoral votes, Obama should drop out. But the only reason Obama lost the big states is because he was concentrating heavily on lightly populated caucus states he has no chance of winning in November, so Hillary should drop out. The states Hillary won have a combined population of well over 160 million, versus Obama's 101 million (Hat tip, Michael Barone), so Obama should drop out. Obama could win big in Guam, so Hillary should drop out. Hillary could win big in Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana and Puerto Rico, so Obama should drop out.

Had the Democrats adopted a sane system for picking a candidate (technically known as "winner-take-all" or "Republican"), Obama would trail Hillary by almost 200 pledged delegates (per Barone), so Obama should drop out.

Polls are showing John McCain edging ahead of Obama in Michigan, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Missouri, New Hampshire, Wisconsin and the two are tied in Massachusetts, proving once again the main purpose of the Democrat primaries is to pick the most thoroughly unelectable candidate.

But, hold on. The little darlings have found someone even more irresistibly unelectable to pick as their nominee -- Al Gore. In '88, Gore won primaries in Arkansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Nevada and Tennessee, so he promptly dropped out. Then he went on to lose 30 states and the 2000 election, so, whaddayaknow, headlines like these are popping up: Senior Democrats mull Al Gore's nomination; Gore Emerges as Democratic Nominee?; Dems plan to tempt Gore; Al Gore could still run for president. A Fox News headline asked: Is Gore-Obama Ticket a Possibility?. Time magazine honcho Joe Klein has got the hots for GoreObamacide, too, sketching out this scenario: "Let's say the elders of the Democratic Party decide, when the primaries end, that neither Obama nor Clinton is viable. Let's also assume -- and this may be a real stretch -- that such elders are strong and smart enough to act. All they'd have to do would be to convince a significant fraction of their superdelegate friends, maybe fewer than 100, to announce that they were taking a pass on the first ballot at the Denver convention, which would deny the 2,025 votes necessary to Obama or Clinton. What if they then approached Gore and asked him to be the nominee, for the good of the party -- and suggested that he take Obama as his running mate?"

But, hold your horses. Right in the middle of the Gore boomlet, out comes a Rasmussen poll showing Gore getting crushed in a threesome, with Obama on top and combat veteran Lieutenant Corkscrew Hillary in between. Forty-two percent for Obama, 26 percent for Hillary and Gore underneath the pileup at a lame-o 23 percent. Gore should drop out.

So, it's back to square one for Democrats, with neither Comrade Empty Swimsuit nor Comrade Cackles reaching the requisite delegate count, the party holding a United 48 States of America convention, and all of it boiling down to party hotshots in the Politburo, with Obama arguing, 'Pick me, I lost California, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Massachusetts -- but check out that massive swing state of Idaho I swept!'. Hillary's case consists of replaying the mega-themes of the '90s, among them -- 'Pick me, or I've got this FBI file here that shows you with . . . Oh, how's your cat?'

The bulletproof/insurmountable/unstoppable Clinton Machine is another in a slew of indestructible myths which Got Blowed Up Good in the last 13 weeks. The press is just now figuring out that the Clintons lie and that the skilled artisans behind the myth of Bill Clinton's Inexhaustible Supply of Magical Political Skills was the press itself. Roll the credits on Clinton hanging on after the semen-stained dress and the Lanny Davis/Paul Begala set don't make the top 100 -- too filled with pre-YouTube dinosaur media types like Dan Rather.

The "Clinton Machine" quietly morphed into the Obamachine these past three months, and now it's struggling to prop-up the Jeremiah Wright sermon-stained Obama, to little avail since doing the Obama laundry or anybody's laundry by hand is sooooooooooooo last century.

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

If McCain wins Massachusetts on election night, open the champagne bottles.

Hahahahahahahhehehehehehehehahahahahaha {breathe}hahahahahehehehe {snort} giggle giggle tee hee {whew}.

LMAORDTS (rolling down the stairs)

The Dems should sell tickets to this show. This is the Florida election 2000 all over again, but it'll last for months and it includes only Democrats and no one can be as vicious, mean and ugly as Democrats.

Hillary's only chance is the Florida Option, drag it out as long as possible, attempt to change the rules mid-election, and recount, and recount, and recount until she gets the right number of votes.

The Dems are going to have to call in Djimmah Carter to certify this election stealing by a future tyrant, that's his specialty.

And think about this, this primary is going to kill the Dem drive for proportional representation for a generation. As soon as this convention is over, the Dems are going to have to have another McGovern commission, like after '68, to revamp their rules. Not coincidentally, McGovern was the first to win under the new rules. Sounds like the Soviet Union to me.

Oh, baby! This couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of crumb-bums, thugs, political posers, phonies, race-grievance mongers, socialists, wackos of the enviro, troofer and every other type and power-mad wannabes.

A friend of mine and me have been discussing for years, which party will crack up first. First, the Dems were ahead, then the GOP came on like gangbusters, but it's now looking like the Dems will come thru first. If McCain gets elected, the GOP won't be far behind as that arrogant, stubborn nitwit makes his decisions to stick it to the base of the GOP.

The only hope is that something decent can be built on the wreckage.

As historian David Hackett Fischer writes in "Albion's Seed," they (sic the "Jacksonian Democrats") believe in natural liberty -- I'll leave you alone if you'll leave me alone, but if you attack my family or my country, I'll kill you.

Why aren't these people Republicans? Apparently, they have nothing in common with Democrats.

Thank you, MSM, for backing Obama. You have finally been forced to tell the truth about the Clintons.
