Ok, well, there were no witnesses. I guess that makes it prime conspiracy theory material. Unlike the Kennedy assassination, which occurred in front of several thousand people - which couldn’t possibly be a conspiracy... oh wait, never mind.
It’s interesting how eager people are to believe a falsehood, and not even bother to check and see what the actual facts are. It reflects a kind of groupthink which is just as bad as that of the conspiracy theorists themselves.
