I HAVE A CONFESSION TO MAKE
Posted on 04/03/2008 12:56:59 PM PDT by YoungBlackRepublican
I am a conservative who has been living at the website democraticunderground.com. Why? Cause it's like watching a car crash in slow motion. It's WW3 over there and I can't stop visiting, looking, and laughing at those guys over there. Do I need help? Or is my "Schadenfreude" ok. I mean we are talking about Dems here...lol

Look at whom he’s speaking to .........
He says the most expedient thing and they all unthinkingly (yes, I know it’s redundant) applaud. Yesterday, he was on w/Chris Matthews. Some student at West Chester said she’s a Type 1 diabetic and wanted to know his position on stem cell research. He said that they already have a bill in Congress, they’re 1 vote short. Then he said, “Here’s what we’re gonna do. When I’m President, we’ll get that vote.” They all applauded. The diabetic beamed.
Nobody thought to point out that the debate and the vote (and Bush’s position) are about funding for stem cell research.

I had a feeling at the time that he’s never served but I could be wrong.
the man was really out there and so were the others on that site.
It’s actually scary to know that there are people out there with these kind of views.
I look at the code pink crowd etc and think to myself I have to do everything I can to have my kids brought up away from these lunatics.
one reason why I moved my family from massachusetts(my wifes birth place) to Florida, northern Florida I might add.

I must admit. Every time big news strikes I head over to DU to watch the reaction. You may feel dirty afterwards but you come away either steaming or laughing your bummy off.

Been there - done that. Only problem I see is that it's kind of addictive - sort of like an ideological pornography that, even if you have no intention of ever engaging in the act yourself, you just can't help getting an occasional voyeuristic fix.

The ironic thing about MoveOn.org is that they were founded stop Clintons removal from office - which ultimately doomed Al Gores run for the presidency. LOL... Yah, now that's some sweet, sweet irony. LOL...

Yeah funny how nobody mentions that huh. It really is interesting. George Bush has liberated 50 million people, done more for Africa than any American elected official I can think of, and protected/stopped/prevented another attack on America, yet you never hear anything good about him. Amazing.
