I've had this debate many times with my mates in England
This is what I say
A gun is used in a robbery, to a lib it's the guns fault for guns kill people

a man does a robbery and uses a knife and kills people as has what happened, to a lib it's the man who is at fault

Now my P229 is sitting in my drawer and it's not hurting anyone

another gun somewhere in America is being used to kill someone

My liberal relatives are in total fear of “guns” and are absolutely sure they are the problem, not the solution. I suggested once that they get a sign and put it in their yards:
I’d even pay for them,

THIS IS A GUN FREE ZONE!

But not one of them would take me up on the offer......
