So I have a bunch of episodes of Stargate: SG1 on the PVR that I'm trying to catch up on. One episode starts with Col. O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson aka MacGyver) asks Gen. Hammond if the mission that he's been next assigned isn't a bit silly.

Gen. Hammond asks O'Neill, "Jack, have you met General Ryan."
O'Neill is taken aback. "General Ryan? The General Ryan, Air Force Chief of Staff?"

Apparently, the silly mission Jack's going on was authorized by General Ryan personally.

For any who doubted, the credit sequence listed

Kinda cool when real life people like that can cross over into fictitious settings. I wonder if he was a fan of the show or if someone who worked on the show knew him and asked him to do it.
