Terri Schiavo's Family Calls for Observance of Terri's Day to Honor Disabled Woman
Life News ^ | 3/31/08 | Steven Ertelt

St. Petersburg, FL (LifeNews.com) -- Terri Schiavo's family and a leading pro-life group are calling on people to honor the disabled woman whose husband took her life in a painful euthanasia death. Together with Priests for Life, the Schindler family has established the observance of “Terri’s Day” each March 31.

That's the day Terri succumbed to a 13-day starvation and dehydration death at the hand of Michael Schiavo, her former husband who won a court order to take her life.

“This third anniversary should be an occasion for all of us to both remember the injustice done to Terri, and reach out to others with prayer and concrete action when they need the kind of help Terri needed," Terri's brother Bobby Schindler told LifeNews.com on Monday.

Suzanne Vitadamo, Terri’s sister, added that Terri's Day is also a way for her family to encourage others to take better care of the elderly and disabled.

“Our family continues to be consoled and uplifted by the many ways in which people honor my sister, learn from her story, and grow in compassion for all the disabled," she said.

During the days leading up to Terri's death, Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life brought comfort and peace to the Schindler family.

Father Pavone was present for the final prayer Terri participated in before her death. He also saw the manipulative ways Michael tried to prevent the Schindler family from caring for her or being present with her during the starvation and dehydration.

“Terri’s death was not the end of her fight," he told LifeNews.com. "It was the beginning of a new chapter in the pro-life movement."

"I call upon all those who were moved by Terri’s death to continue their courageous activism in the cause of life, and never to be silent," he said.

Together, Priests for Life and the Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation encourage churches, families, organizations and individuals to observe Terri’s Day with prayers, memorial services, educational activities and community outreach.

I started explaining to him about Xenu and the loyal officers” — a basic story from L. Ron Hubbard’s science fiction. “I couldn’t get a third of the way through the story, and we had our faces on the floor. We were laughing so hard. I mean you couldn’t even talk. It’s so retarded.”

This would be hysterical if they weren't so dangerous.

Only the able bodied have rights and Hubbard lived on a yacht so he could do naughty things in international waters. The southpark episode about it explains everything Tom Cruise paid millions of dollars to learn. He’s way up there... His current wife seems to be a bot but I do like her hairdo. She hangs around with Posh Spice, the soccer guy’s wife.

I am obliged not to even excerpt from this publication according to rules. Too bad. It has some revealing stuff, not only the usual like what do you believe, the truth and evidence or the lies and propaganda of the other side? But in the side column is a Related News Topix on Terri. Inside besides the usual vile baloney of the pro-death folks, is also a look into the website for Lauren Richardson.

Liberal logic illustrated...

In this thread by wagglebee, we can see how in the liberal world view, feelings and fantasy conquer the real world of rational thought and simply reality.

Philadelphia, PA (LifeNews.com) -- The economist behind the disproved theory that legal abortions have led to a lowering of crime rates defended his notion. Freakonomics author Steven Levitt gave a lecture yesterday at the Penn Museum and said he's convinced the theory is correct despite several studies showing otherwise.

In introducing Levitt to the audience, Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences Rebecca Bushnell said Levitt's level of "celebrity" is "unusual" among academics....

Lucky Alaska!

Thread by wagglebee on this remarkable event! We still have decent leaders in the U.S. of A.

Juneau, AK (LifeNews.com) -- As many as 80 percent of unborn children diagnosed with Down syndrome become victims of abortion, but Alaska Gov, Sarah Palin didn't let her child become a statistic. Palin, who has deeply-felt pro-life views, gave birth to her fifth child this week and the baby was diagnosed with the condition.

On Tuesday, Palin confirmed her baby, named Trig Paxson, has Down syndrome.

"Trig is beautiful and already adored by us," Palin said in a statement LifeNews.com obtained...

Planned Parenthood can't handle the truth.

P.P. on truth...

Thread by wagglebee.

TRENTON, NJ, April 22, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Planned Parenthood Affiliates of New Jersey continued their attack on Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPC) last week when it exhorted its supporters to back the Stop Deceptive Advertising for Women's Services Act (SDAWS). That act that calls for the Federal Trade Commission to enforce truth-in-advertising standards so as to make it illegal for CPCs to present themselves in such a way as to lead individuals into believing that they perform abortions.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney and 11 other sponsors introduced SDAWS to the NJ House of Representatives in May 2007. On April 1, Sen. Robert Menendez introduced the Senate companion to SDAWS....

May Day is a well known moment of celebration for the socialists and communists who would see our country fall. We have an antidote on that day, The National Day of Prayer. Thanks, Albion Wilde for the ping to this thread by The Spirit Of Allegiance.

This year's theme of the NDOP, "Prayer! America's Strength and Shield," is based on Psalm 28:7: "The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped." The Lord hears and responds to His children's cry for help. He is their strength, refuge, and courage in personal and national times of suffering, despair and loss.

"This is a critical time to be in prayer for our country. The Biblical principles upon which America was founded are under attack in every segment of society," said Shirley Dobson, chairman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force. "We pray God will raise righteous leaders for our country."...

These deathbots are still repeating the same lies from three years ago and they are foaming at the mouth at the thought of killing Lauren. It makes me ill.

Because they are the same deathbots. Sometimes different persons, but the very same muses which have buzzed around the Prince of Darkness throughout. Their hatreds remain the same, their approach remains the same. Sometimes I see them as figures in an old Frank Perretti novel like This Present Darkness.

One thing we know, though, is their very presence indicates the importance to them and their superiors of having Lauren killed. In our battle against evil, these are the enemy infantry.

HERE'S ONE FOR LAUREN RICHARDSON With thanks to Breakpoint!!

THE POPE BLESSES THE DISABLED

APRIL 21, 2008

The pope and the disabled by Gina Dalfonzo

One of Pope Benedict XVI's "most intimate public event[s]" during his trip to the United States was his blessing of a group of disabled youths and their caregivers in Yonkers, New York. He told them:

God's unconditional love, which bathes every human individual, points to a meaning and purpose for all human life. . . . Through his cross, Jesus in fact draws us into his saving love and in so doing shows us the way ahead -- the way of hope which transfigures us all, so that we too, become bearers of that hope and charity for others.

Sadly, according to this Catholic PRWire release, the pope learned this fundamental lesson in an unspeakably tragic way.

As a boy of fourteen, Joseph Ratzinger had a cousin who had been born with Down's Syndrome, only a bit younger than himself. In 1941, German state "therapists" came to the boy's house and probably informed the parents of the government regulation that prohibited mentally handicapped children from remaining in their parents' home. In spite of the family's pleas, the representatives of the Nazi state took the child away. The Ratzinger family never saw him again. Later the family learned that he had "died," most likely murdered, for being merely "undesirable," a blemish in the race, and a drain on the productivity of the nation. This was Joseph Ratzinger's first experience of a murderous philosophy that asserts that some people are disposable.

At a time when children with Down syndrome are once again being systematically slaughtered, may the pope's experience with "a murderous philosophy that asserts that some people are "disposable," and his resulting understanding of the value of each human life, help bring us to our senses.

And with deep appreciation to Unborn Word of the Day comes this powerful quote from Pope Benedict:

“Life, which is a work of God, should not be denied to anyone, even the tiniest and most defenseless unborn child, and far less to a child with serious disabilities. At the same time, echoing the Pastors of the Church in Italy, I advise you not to fall into the deceptive trap of thinking that life can be disposed of, to the point of ‘legitimizing its interruption with euthanasia, even if it is masked by a veil of human compassion’

Benedict XVI, Angelus

St Peter’s Square Sunday, 4 February 2007

These important issues are explored in the fabulous new Ben Stein movie, Expelled, which this weekend propelled into the box office top ten spot!!

An excellent observation! Thank you!

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

A work from a fellow pro-life FReeper, Ultra Sonic 007...

To those of you who know me, you'll know I've written extensively on the subject of abortion.

Should the Unborn be Considered Human? and Abortion Proposal: A Need for Education were my final papers for English 101 and English 102. They both served as the base for my final project in Computer Science 101, where the final grade depended heavily on one's ability to design a website.

The instructors said to base your website's final project on a term paper, or any subject of term paper length. My previous two papers on abortion immediately leapt to mind....
