RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) ― One person is dead and another wounded after an argument during a pickup basketball game in Riverside escalated into gunfire.
Police have released few details on the incident, which happened Sunday afternoon on the outdoor courts at Central Middle School.
Neighborhood residents said they heard arguing followed by several gunshots, then saw people scattering from the area.
Eric Sheppard lives across the street from the school's playground. The 46-year-old said he often hears arguing coming from the basketball courts, but they usually resolve it. On Sunday, the trash-talking turned deadly.

The late Chick Hearn, long time announcer for the Lakers had an expression: “No harm, no foul, no blood, no ambulance.”
Guess that certainly doesn't apply in this instance.

Throw more money at “the problem.”
Kalifornia needs more debt.

This clearly was the fault of all the typical white people who have been keeping the bruthas down.

It looks like even Midnight Basketball won’t work at crime reduction. We should probably create another government agency to study this problem..

Apparently it’s of extreme importance to have a good shooting guard when playing in Riverside.

"Was someone fouled in the act of shooting?"More like they were shot in the act of fouling.

But they too have the “right to bear arms”.
