To mentally prepare ourselves and "to get inside the enemy's head" we delved into such Soviet Classics as

Of course diversity was important to well read squaddies such as we, and we thrived on such British colonial classics as The Tiger's Revenge, by Sir Claude Bawless.

But wait, there's more. Allen Dulles having left the planet, I am free to reveal the amazing, never before revealed details of

"Operation Playboy."

You see, children, we knew the Soviet Hordes, outnumbering us 15 to 1, were planning on striking us with such swiftness that their supply lines had no chance to keep up. In typical commie fashion, they intended to live off the land, at least at first. They would be mighty hungry!

So we arranged for them to capture supplies from us as we withdrew in good order, consisting of huge aluminum crates full of vodka, cookies (Twinkies, actually) and canned goods, Playboy Magazines and far worse, marijuana cigarettes disguised as Marlboros, chocolate bars, 45RPM record players stocked with the most sensuous of Doo-Wop and Elvis, not to mention the Everly Brothers and Connie Francis.

Plan: While they reveled and got loaded or whatever, we could re-group and strike them in a massive counterattack led by our ATOMIC HOWITZER! Tables turned AHA!
