McCain’s Incoherent New World Order
AIM.org ^ | 28 Mar 2008 | Cliff Kincaid

Posted on 03/30/2008 2:40:08 PM PDT by BGHater

In his March 26 speech to the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, McCain never mentioned the need to preserve American sovereignty. He could have reassured conservatives by stating his forthright opposition to Senate ratification of the U.N.’s Law of the Sea Treaty, which provides for international control over billions of dollars worth of oil, gas and minerals and undermines American claims to North Pole riches. But he chose not to.

Instead, as the Washington Post put it, McCain promised “a collaborative foreign policy,” conducted in coordination with other nations. The New York Times said he distanced himself from “unilateralism” in foreign affairs.

“Liberals are going to love this speech,” conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh said about the McCain address. He said it sounded like the “global test” that liberal Democratic presidential candidate and Senator John Kerry had proposed for U.S. foreign policy in 2004.

Yet, McCain’s new TV ad calls him “the American president Americans have been waiting for.” The public should not be fooled. He is as much of a globalist as Hillary and Obama.

Noting that McCain committed himself to adoption of a new U.N.-sponsored global warming treaty, which would be even more comprehensive and tougher than the Kyoto Protocol, Limbaugh said that “The theme here is that there’s nothing special about America, and that we’re not going to be able to do anything without involving other nations and making them like us and showing them that we intend them no harm and that we want to be good stewards of the planet just as they want to be good stewards.”

We are so screwed. McFlap is a “One World Order” whore. I could see him signing on to a UN gun ban, Kyoto, and burning our constitution in the process. It’s sad to hope that he chooses a Conservative running mate and wins and do what 73 year old’s are suppose to do (I won’t say more).

Bull****. If he wants to impress conservatives, he needs to express his embrace of the free enterprise system, DEregulation, reduction of government spending and taxes, respect for human life....for starters.

I just wish people here would not call McCain the “conservative” running or even the most “conservative”. He is by definition the most “moderate” or the “moderate” running. Using “conservative” and the McCainiac in the same sentence is an oxymoron.

The good news is the Constitution Party will be nominating someone next month.

“The public should not be fooled. He is as much of a globalist as Hillary and Obama.”

Damn straight. We (America) lost when McBackstabber became the presumptive nominee.

Trying to get global consensus is what you do when you have no idea if you are right or wrong.

Words have meanings! What mccain said was “the US president Americans(North, South and Central) have been waiting for.”

How about, “least socialist?”

Oh drat, I forgot he wants to close Gitmo, end "torture" (forced bathing, uncomfortable chairs, rap music, lemon-basil chicken with rice pilaf and five-fruit salad), give terrorists the same protections as American citizens, and abide by international law.

So support John McCain for...hmmm...IRAQ! John McCain won't CUT-n-RUN™ in Iraq! A common whore won't bang the governor of NY for less than $4000, but we DEMAND less of you.

Tell me again why I should vote for Obama's Republican soulmate.

They may nominate ... but they will not have the where with all to achieve electing a President of the United States. They are a 3rd party and will be a spoiler handing the election to Dem/Lib/Socialists.

None is fit to hold the office. The babble about McCain somehow being better is just not true. He has done nothing to give any conservative the idea that he is anything more than a RAT not so lite.

How about conservatives come in may stripes. Some staunch on all issues never budging; some moderate and some liberal (on cultural issues). They are all conservatives as they stick together mostly on fiscal and national security issues. To tell them they are not conservative may drive away other voters conservatives need to win elections. Conservatives are not a majority of the voting public.

So one can be a socialist a$$hat like McBackstabber, but if he is conservative on one or two issues, then you would feel fine in referringto him as a conservative?

Amazing the pretzels people must twist to support this man.
