When Kuwait’s entire parliament resigned after the Cheney visit, I thought an attack on Iran was immanent.

I wonder if Iran will heed that old Addage about not showing up at a Nuclear Weapons fight with just Oil and Sand?

Every day, I download the hundreds of front pages of newspapers posted at newseum.com, and run a search for items that mention the word "nuclear". The fuses-to-Taiwan story was front page news in dozens of papers around the world. I haven't noticed any alarm about the prospect of an attack on Iran since the NIE came out. Wouldn't Condi Rice surely be making headlines about Iran, instead of about her take on slavery as the USA's birth defect, if an attack on Iran was in the works?
The nuclear headlines, BTW, get featured on the main page at nuclear.com.

The Saudis would get far more toxic chemical exposure if their refineries were terrorist-bombed, than by fallout that might drift across the Gulf.

I can’t vouch for any particular report coming out of the middle east but there have been a lot of coincidences going on over there recently.
It would be prudent to be prepared for something big.

I think the bigger concerns for the Kingdom are Iranian short range ballistic missiles and their uranium enrichment activities. Iran has decent, maybe even “good” short range missiles with modest throw weights. Even if they cannot develop a nuclear bomb and weaponize it to the weight limits and ruggedness required for ballistic flight... They can certainly create a number of chemical explosive “dirty bombs.” A few of these could contaminate the Saudi oil fields for years, possibly decades, of clean up.
