Jeremiah Wright - who urged his congregation to sing "God Damn America" and opined that the US brought on the 9/11 attacks with its own "terrorism" - decided not to spend Easter Sunday with his former followers at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's South Side. The Puerto Rico Dem primary is on June 1st. Could it be that the Reverend was doing some "behind the scenes" fundraising or politics-related matters on behalf of his friend, the Senator?
Well, you will not find my sorry a$$ in a $399 room. Show me the under $150 ones and include breakfast.
The Rev is like another “Rev” - Al Sharpton. The Feds were never able to convict him of misuse of the funds collected by his “church” because all the little old grannies came up and said that they knew all along that the Rev was going to spend their hard-earned dollars on a new Caddy and other personal perks - and that it was fine with them. People like him can be shown to be as corrupt as the day is long, but they have a lot of dumb followers who are okay with it.

How fascinating that this know-nothing bigot rails against those on cruises that “throw out more food than a Haitian sees in a year”, then goes on a cruise and stays at the Ritz in PR. Doesn’t even have the gonads to visit Haiti. (Mini rant over...)

GREAT BAY, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Tuesday that he held an impromptu Easter service with his family at their beachside hotel but has spent most of his down time playing with his two daughters in the pool. The Illinois senator took a short break from the campaign to spend a few days with his family at a resort on St. Thomas. Relaxing in the shade of a palm tree Tuesday, he spoke briefly to journalists from The Associated Press and two other news organizations. "I've got a couple days with my family," he said. "We did a little Easter service here, because we couldn't go to church, and the kids read some Scripture and we had Easter dinner, and I've been mostly playing with them in the pool."
Obama's daughters are Malia, 9, and Sasha, 6. Asked about his plans when he resumes campaigning on Wednesday, Obama indicated he would focus on the economy and Iraq. "Obviously people are concerned about the economy, so you know we're going to spend a lot of time talking about that," Obama said. "And obviously we had a tragic marker with 4,000 now dead in Iraq, so I think we want to continue talking about the plans for dealing with the war and having a responsible and honorable withdrawal." Obama played golf Monday at Mahogany Run with friends and an administrative assistant, said Nevin Phillips, director of the course. Phillips said the club kept Obama's reservation secret and arranged his tee time so the closest players were four holes away. Obama later dropped by the pro shop and posed for photographs with some players. "A lot of people didn't realize somebody big was here until they saw the Secret Service guys," Phillips said. As for the candidate's golf skills, Phillips said: "He hit a pretty nice shot down the fairway on number one. Most times when I saw him he was hitting pretty decent shots." Seriously, don’t people like him have anything favorable to say about America?
Which brings up another point. Go to Europe and try to find some blacks who are wealthy, or who are in high positions in business or government. You won’t find many. Yet Europe is supposedly racially tolerant, while the U.S. is evil.
Translation: "I'm done talking about that Reverend Whatsisname. I hardly even knew the guy."
Obama and Wright, hiding out until the heat is off. I hope the heat is never off these two. Obama is truly the Manchurian candidate.

Not that I am suspicious, but I am. I wonder if some of Obama’s campaign funds are being channeled in some fashion to Preacher Wright that allows him to stay for a long period of time in this $399 a nite room, while hiding out. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Barak’s campaign funds are going towards keeping Wright out of sight and contented while doing so. Wanna make a bet that funding for Wright is coming nefariously from the Barak Obama campaign?
P.S., some enterprising reporter-type should be checking into who is paying for the hotel room that Preacher Wright is staying in. Go for it.

What's he talking about, he's got the secret service to drive him, there are Churches all over. Maybe the concierge couldn't recommend a Hate America Church, or an Easter service comparing Rev. Wright to Jesus, but he could have settled for something more traditional for one day. Wouldn't have hurt the kids upbringing.
