Actuallly, with the advent of the Web, I think his prediction has come true.

"Gee! I wonder where the missing 50 million people went?"

Silly ....

They're here ... just called illegals, that's all.

1968 really didn't expect to be invaded, we were supposed to be the vangard in futuramazations.

"hell no"

You got that right. A car whose engine fails today coasts to the side of the road. But a flying car up five hundred feet whose engine fails...you get the picture. Think John Denver.

“Besides school lessons, other educational material is available for TV viewing. You simply press a combination of buttons and the pages flash on your home screen. The world’s PORN is available to you almost instantaneously.”

Had this one word been changed, the author would have hit this prediction out of the park.

Money has all but disappeared. Employers deposit salary checks directly into their employees’ accounts. Credit cards are used for paying all bills. Each time you buy something, the card’s number is fed into the store’s computer station. A master computer then deducts the charge from your bank balance.

Computers not only keep track of money, they make spending it easier. TV-telephone shopping is common.

........Medical examinations are a matter of sitting in a diagnostic chair for a minute or two, then receiving a full health report......

Close. Today, a series of blood samples are taken and inserted into analytic devices that make the determination and spit out the report. It is medicine by the numbers.

In many ERs, patients with certain complaints (Headache, Abdominal pain, Head injury) are run through the CT scanner before they see the doctor.

We’d be around 350 million right now if we didn’t have abortion.

Would we be traveling in rockets, as he predicted, were it not for abortion?

That's probably to protect the hospital and physicians from tort lawyers more than to diagnose problems. Those tests are rather expensive, so normally you see a physician first before getting a prescription to have those diagnostic procedures done.

Apples and oranges. We’ve aborted 45+ million since 1973. We’re at 300 million now. Add 45 million, plus the kids some of those people would have had, and we easily hit 350 million.

I’d like to know exactly what your point was saying what you said. Abortion and population numbers are directly related. I can only conclude that by your attempt to ridicule the logic of someone who points this out, that I have to ask: are you pro-abortion?

There are many predictions in this article that did not come true. His prediction that our population would be 350 million is worth as much as his prediction that we'd be blasting off in rockets or living in domed cities. So why focus on the it?

FTR: Abortion is murder.

Logic and the correct conclusion don't always coincide. I can ridicule your logic while agreeing with your conclusion.

This thread did rather quickly evolve into an abortion thread, didn't it? Might as well add "prolife" to the keywords list.

It did. I even got accused of being pro-abortion!
