“Looking ahead to the General Election in November, John McCain continues to lead both potential Democratic opponents. McCain leads Barack Obama 51% to 41% and Hillary Clinton 50% to 43%”

Two points:

#1...If Hillary and Obama are too far behind McCain, the DNC will punt them both and run Al Gore.

#2...McCain is only spending a *fraction* of what Hillary and Obama are spending right now, yet he’s rocketing ahead of them both.

Problem is what does that translate into electoral votes? There is a good site - www.270towin.com which translate state poll numbers into EV projections. The contests are evenly matched in terms of electoral colleges. Hillary actually does worst than Obama against McCain.

Hillary says she is sorry, it was a mistake. She didn’t mean it, she was joking.

Please....
