At Dallas event, Democratic strategist Carville takes aim at Cornyn

James Carville came to Dallas on Tuesday and deployed his sharp wit against Texas Sen. John Cornyn, taking the aim off fellow Democrats who don't support Hillary Rodham Clinton in the strident presidential contest.

Mr. Carville, a political strategist and Clinton confidant, hasn't backed away from his comparison of Bill Richardson, former Bill Clinton Cabinet secretary, to Judas for endorsing Barack Obama.

At a forum at SMU, he mocked criticism of Democratic infighting, boosted Democratic Senate candidate Rick Noriega and said Mr. Cornyn "doesn't represent Texas, he represents the status quo."

But Cornyn campaign spokesman Kevin McLaughlin said "nothing says status quo more than dragging out a Clinton-era political hack to lob haymakers at Republicans."

Like Mrs. Clinton and her wife, Mr. Carville is seen as an ancient relic from another century.

I love it when Democrats waste their money in races they can’t win.

I am actually considering giving money top John Cornyn this year. I just fear, as with Perry, wasting money on politicians who forget who they work for.

The one distinguishing characteristic of Clintonistas is that they will say anything. Lanny Davis is the same way. A total lack of a moral compass, no principles.

Cornyn does represent Texas, had he said KBH he might have had a point. Carville has no business in Texas as we don’t typically allow inbreds to cross the Sabine River.

[ “Bill Richardson was going to introduce me, but he got pinned down by sniper fire out here at D/FW” airport, Mr. Carville said.]

This is “sharp wit?” Carville just brings up Hillary's fake war story again. More like too-many-bourbons wit.

So far, Cornyn has proven to be a true conservative, some one who actually uses his brain and good logic. He votes opposite Hutchison on almost every issue.

So the Democrat hatchet man has already given up on the Presidential election and is now attacking the Senators and Congressmen...

If McCain loses, the GOP really should consider Sen Cornyn for 2012.

Cornyn IS great. I love him, too!

When he first ran for Senator, I felt like NOBODY
could replace Phil Gramm.

That is still true, but I really like and respect
John Cornyn. He is GREAT!
