Apparently liberal religious authorities like those at the United Church of Christ love this preaching so much that they have made Dr. Cone a professor at the Union Theological Seminary, the "Charles Augustus Briggs Distinguished Professor of Systematic Theology." It is a stamp of official approval for a peddler of race hatred.
What would Jesus say? Well, we may never know that, but in a month we'll know what Pennsylvania Democrats will say. And if they turn thumbs down on that grandchild of Black Liberation Theology, Senator Barack Obama, the Democrats will have no one to blame but themselves. Including the Churches of the Left, which have reveled in rage-mongering radical chic since the Sixties.
If you've ever wondered why black people in America have had such a hard time rising in society, even after slavery ended in 1865, even after the Civil Rights Acts of the 1960s, even after affirmative action tilted the playing field in their favor, the answer has to be found in the doctrines that have been preached to blacks by their most powerful leaders. If Black Liberation Theology is to be believed, blacks can never make it on their own. They have to rely on a separatist, rage-filled ideology, supported whole-heartedly by white Leftist churches.
The Left has a long, long habit of shafting the very people is purports to love. Instead, the Left only empowers Leftist elites. Look at the history of the Soviet Union, of Maoist China, of Fidel Castro. Who profited from those regimes except the elites, dining on caviar while ordinary people starved? Today Hugo Chavez is squandering Venezuela's oil wealth on his personal ego trips. It is the poor who suffer from Chavez' caudillismo.
What the Church of the Left have done to poor blacks is just like that. Instead of supporting messages of hope and strength, they celebrated the rage demagogues who keep people in thrall. "Black Liberation" is an enslavement of the mind. If you keep black people popping with anger at whites, half a century after the end of Jim Crow, you are not helping them. You are hurting them.
For the Democrats, who have knowingly supported this corruption of the poor for decades, the churches of Left have set a time bomb. Next month we'll see if it explodes.

Seems to? SEEMS TO?! It is a Marxist (and therefore Godless) ideology base on atheistic class/race division politics promulgated for the sole purpose of overthrowing Western liberal (in the classic sense) freedom and prosperity. There is no “seems to” about it.
Liberation theology and Black Liberation Theology are based primarily on “feel goodism” which is usually at total odds with Biblically based values. These are open to question to be sure, but must come from the recognition that God has standards, regardless of what one “feels”.
The most racist people in modern America are liberal Black people.
The left have done a fine job of resurrecting tribalism in this country and destroying patriotism, which for a time there had the potential to overcome racial tensions.
Nothing destroys a nation quicker than tribalism, but I guess history was never a leftist moonbats favorite class. They skipped it to go smoke dope.
It is separatism preparatory to creating a revolutionary mass base. There is a psychological preparation going on here reminiscent of the end-times armageddonite Christian evangelism of the mid 70’s under the tutelage of Hal Lindsey and Co. The business of both is the creation of an army.
The liberals only care about ONE thing.....POWER. So they foster this type of thinking in order to get their votes.

The reason it is so easy for black prison thugs to “convert” to Islam is that they have been taught all their lives to believe in a paranoid, grievance-based, hate-filled, violent creed. They have heard it from their churches and they have heard it from their bizarre little black newspapers and media and from their politicians.
Islam - which is actually an Arab superiority cult, but your average prison thug is too dumb to recognize that - feeds this and gives these people the feeling that anything they do is justified. Christianity, of course, can never serve as the justification for such things. The result is that the black radical churches simply had to create their own version, and found that the lefty liberal churches that had no Christian beliefs remaining to them were the best infrastructure to hang their own crazy theories on and also gave them the best public podiums to spew their nonsense tax-free.
If they start moving out of these churches - if, for example, some of the white leftist groups that are actually the money and the organization behind the operation decide to distance themselves or if they lose their tax-exempt status - these nutty black groups will flood into Islam. Then I think we’ve going to have a problem that will make our current problems with both Islam and black criminals look trivial.
I wonder how much money these phony churches rake in by telling their people that Whitey is the reason for their problems, not their own debasing actions.

Author James Lewis should have been in the San Francisco Bay Area during 1995/1996 — surrounding Prop 209 (repealing preferential affirmative action employing state monies). He’d have gotten to witness how many black “pastors” openly threatened their own church members with banishment (and worse) should they not fight, “actively” (whatever that means) fight Prop 209. Then, of course there were the Black Liberation Theologists top hench men, Democrats Willie Brown and Rev Amos Brown leading it all. The racism from Bay Area “Black Liberationists” was so thick, it was noxious to humans and plants and all other living things.
Instead of following Martin Luther King's teachings -- Blacks wanted to be equal and have the same opportunities as whites, other Black leaders wanted welfare, entitlements, and reparations from whites.
These demands were absurd in that most of the whites in America were immigrants who came to this country long AFTER slavery was abolished by President Lincoln, a Republican.
Many Blacks took proper steps and have achieved success in America after they were afforded their just due -- equality.
Certainly, Blacks were treated badly -- unequally before Martin Luther King but many have taken steps to become successful after Martin pointed out that Blacks were being treated unfairly. And, he was right but what most Blacks have to understand is that most whites especially in the Northern states had no idea about the circumstances in which Blacks were living -- poverty.
And, another thing Blacks need to understand is that there were just as many white immigrants who were living in poverty also.
